Hello. I am making a thread to discuss attack skills. Right now we have 3 classes of attack skills... melee skills, ranged skills, and ultimate skills.

As you know, all melee skills can be blocked. No ranged skills can be blocked nor deflected. Ultimate skills cannot be blocked nor deflected, and deal a minimum of 20 damage.

Do you find the common ranged skills, for example Fireball or Artillery, very powerful when stat points are exploited?

The fact that stats improve your character and your skills kills 2 birds with 1 stone really.

All attack skills except for ultimate skills can apply to rage, but all skills can go critical except for energy dimishing skills such as EMP/Atom Smasher.

^ why cant we have skills that add defence points ir tech points to your skill tree

I find Melee skills more powerfull than ranged skills

I got 36-48 (-2) resistance and max berserker hit me +40 dmg. I belive thats too much dmg for very high tech.

well I would rather wait for the 3 new Ultimate Skills [and some semblance of balance] before introducing a whole new skill range.

@Turk,

At the same time, there was a window where Berzerker would have blocked, doing zero damage, whereas a ranged Strength improving attack, Fireball, could have damaged you for the same amount and not be blocked or deflected. Please excuse the element difference (Physical - Energy)

If you do tank build with tank i mean very high dex, you will see fireball will do less dmg than berserker.

and you should consider that % skills are useable at 1 lvl but fixed dmg ones are very weak at 1 lvl.

If you ask me i think all skills should be not blockable/deflectable, cause you spent energy on them but with high dmg ability of % skills will ruin balance.

I think we should reduce the damage value of the skills, that way we can remove literally the luck factors. Like you said ^

what about just removing the range on defences like Defence: 25-30 becomes Defence: 30

cause if your skill hits at it's highest range, and their defence reduces the damage at it's lower range, they get hit for up to 10 damage more.

merc level 1 special reduces rage by half gives back health and does 20 damage.
Super charge does 20 damage and restorer health.
Massacare does 20 damage.
How fair is this ?
Reduce massacare cooldown to 2 turns or increase its damage people.

^massacre usually HAS the highest damage.

Massacre has higher dmg at equal stats. But i agree that SC is better than Massacre somehow.

For me its like SC>Mass>Surgical(surgical is more like a strategic skill that reduce rage) but the most powerfull skill ever is Berserker, if it dont block and if you use it with rage :D total pwnage

@Rui: the two classes with Massacre can EMP and ruin Supercharge or Surgical Strike plus p4p Massacre does the most damage of all the skills.
you don't usually see players with massacre higher than 6-7 but SC and SS usually require level 8+ to be remotely effective.

What...?
Massacre has the highest usual damage output. In the case of BH, you have to spend a point on Bloodlust, and then you recieve health from it. CHs are.....well, I rarely see a CH with Massacre.

Yep Massacre is fair as it isn't fixed number, depends on your weapon + Str and goes well with BL. They all deal minimum of 20 damage and their damage isn't limited to certain stat that increases your defence and improves Ultimate by 4-5 points but you're also having higher damage from your Gun+Primary thanks to Str - I don't see Tech or Dex affecting any of my weapons. ;) xD
