Dear God...

Anyways my post was almost at the end of the first page:

spamming/begging/abusing for a click.

that is what it boils down too. it was a terrible feature right from the start and did it even achieve what the staff wanted it to?
Epicduel is a game, but going OUT OF GAME to click an arrow seems counter productive, ingame fame button would at least make it
a bit easier to just fame and shut them up instead of having to load laggy stat page, then a new tab for their char page. that also lags

I believe it's main purpose was to make people ask for fame on social network sites like twitter and facebook, to advertise ED, and bring new players to the game.

I'm going to have to say 'yes, they succeeded'

Agreed. I say get rid of fame or either change it so that it has to be earned by actually doing something not by begging people for it over and over again.

problem with these features is it doesn't matter how you dress it up, if their is a way to benefit by begging, players will beg.

you could call it "The bigger the number, the bigger the loser" and they would still beg for it. just human nature.

it's the same in combat. if their was a weapon that made you invincible, most players would be using it even if it made the game completely stupid. sad but true

i think that when you look at stats in battle or out of it, there should be a display of your current fame and a button next to it to fame that person.

 If it were made so you could only get Fame once per IP address for the entire game and only by the use of a referral link that leads to account creation then Fame would be a much greater idea than it currently is. I personally have no problems with fame. It used to be that Factions was the old Fame spam. At least now you can fame them and they'll quiet up opposed to sending recruit invites and either being ignored on it or having them desert immediately after joining and the proceeding to spam again for a faction.

Remove charpage link from game, that will force players to write names and most ppl will not do that so f4f will be very hard to do. If there was no charpage link i wouldnt accept any f4f.

Examples:

Player1: "hi""
Me:"Yo"
Player1: "f4f? ;D"
Me:"ok"
Player1: TurkshIncubis hmm no let me check
*goes in battle screen again*
Player1:TurkishIncu.... wtf i forgot again
*goes in battle screen*
Player1: F..k it i will not do f4f

Now imagine a name like ....XxXK1LlMeB4b3XxX.... LOL

 I would've just destroy Fame from the system entirely and then proceed to ban every single player who has ever begged for fame (I don't care who you are, you're dumb to think you even deserved it). It was supposed to be used in order to get adverts to players so they'd click on them. It's not doing its actual job.

A way to possibly reduce begging might be to give achievements for faming others, they will ask less because people will begin to do it automatically.

 Everybody at Oz hates me...

Especially noobs with no guts and big mouths. *cough* Those people with huge wins and their own factions but can't beat anyone in a fair fight LOL. then beg for fame LOL.

What I think should be changed is that whenver you say f4f, you get chatlocked for a DAY. Day->Week->Month->Perma. XD

 I think there should be a defame button, make it so you've got to earn fame instead of begging/asking for it or get rid of it.

I just got 100 fame because I wanted the cheevo, not fame. I was planning to get 5000 rating points, so that cheevo helped.

I really hate fame, and I was embarresed to ask for it in my quest for 100 fame. I was glad when I got it, because I was annoyed of rubbing "FAME ME PLZ" in people's faces.
At least I didn't throw spasms when someone declined to fame me. Have you seen some people!? I said "no thanks I don't do fame" and they start calling me noob and rage quit. Which is good for me, I get credits :).

Well I personnally don't like the fame feature but I think it's there to stay.

I go to Oz every now and then and get ask once or twice for F4F. I politly say no and they leave me alone. It goes for the same in battle.

I will only fame people who I know and are going for the daily cheevo. To me, the fame problem is slowly fading away.

Another idea that as not been discuss here is to put a "fame button" right next to the player Health/energy/level bar. With fame being so easily given to other people, the begging would stop. Players would be able to fame base on anything, great gear, great colors famous name etc..
