If someone's internet is so slow that they crash the system regularly, they should be playing 1v1 and stop ruining the game for 2v2 players. Those peeps know who they are.

@SS Okay support part of the idea but not all of it. First of all I have to leave some times to go some where (uselly happens when I thought I had more time.) Also, I have a very good internet speed, but ED from time to time randomly makes people Lose Connection. How do I know this? One time the Lose connection kicked every one from the server and we all had to reconnect. Punishment for leave the game.... well eh it would have to be VERY low punishment. Like you lose 10 cred's or something like that. Also for people leaving after they be killed is nothing. If they are dead they give you nothing. No Bonus, No Skills no nothing so they shouldn't be punished. There should be also be message box where you have to type why you leaving. If you use the same excuss more than 2 times it will kick you from the server for 5mins. Also if you put ajksaidahad or something like that in the box it will also kick you from the server for 5mins. If you continue to use something like ashuahduahd then u will kick will go to 10mins then 30mins then FOREVER. Also if you leave it blank u get same result. Also, these messages u type will go to ED Team (if you want to include the mods too then I guess you could) and they will review it. Like if it say's something like "I like waffles" they will kick you from the server for 5mins. That there would be helpful. Stuff could be added still to it.
Thanks For Reading.

Very low punishments make no sense, they are useless. Who would stop doing something when the punishment is very small?
Your idea with typing a reason for leaving is much too complicated, no one wants to sit all day and read these messages. You do realize that there are thousands of quits per day, don't you?

I actually wanted to make a suggestion thread for something along this line. But i might as well post it here.

Renegade Reaper had the right idea.

When a person leaves the battle or gets disconnected:

A replacement bot could take there place. With the exact amount of energie and health the person who left had.
Maybe even the same class and exact same build and stats. So basicly a copy (as if the person never even left in the first place!) and instead it attacking by itself the player has the control over it.
I have played games that also use this system and i can tell nobody cares when a person leaves because nothing changes and they continue playing

I'm not sure if it is possible (coding-ly speaking), but it would be perfect.

This might be a better solution. Therefore i do not support this suggestion.

@SS :P Punishments can be little. Who will read? idk make like where hiring between ages 15-26 for this position. No pay obviously. Not complicated system very sound system. Let's see if a leaver lose's between 10-30 cred's per leave. Let's see by 10 leaves u would of lost 100 creds or if you hit the max cap u will lose 300. Not seem like much but over time it will add up.

@Unknown Menace Agreed.

2 Unknown Menace: Your suggestion is good, if it is technically possible to implement it - I would support it.

2 Masterofthenoob: Who and why would work for no pay? And who will check on them to see if they are impartial and correct? And how will you deduct credits from a player with 0 credits? Your suggestion is not realistic at all.

I agree with Strut. Having your partner quit is like getting shot. It doesnt matter WHY they shoot you, you're still dead. I'd be ok with something like, if you quit a battle mode more than say 5 times in an hour, you should be locked out of that battle mode for 15 minutes. Even if its "not your fault", if you're having connection issues and you STILL keep trying to 2v2 you're still ruining some1 else's day.

I think its unfair to punish people who easily lose connection... i lose connection sometimes but still manage to play 9/10 of my 2v2 battles.

I have to agree with Unknown Menace and Renegade Reaper...instead of punishing those who lose connection and leave battle...why cant the players left on their own get an npc partner.

E.g. instead of having the exact same person with the exact same skills being replaced with the person who left.. there should be lvl npc's going up in 5's so if a level 24 leaves a 2v2 battle they are replaced by a level 25 npc (round to the closest) which will make the battle fair.

E.g. 2. Also if someone leaves after a certain round an npc should take their place with the same PERCENTAGE of health(and maybe the same PERCENTAGE of energy) as the person who left had. (not the same health as it would be more complex and harder in terms of coding...and it may not be possible). Quite similar ideas to Unknown Menace and Renegade Reaper but having an npc with the exact build will make it a lot more complicated and having npcs going up in lvls of 5 would make it much easier.

Nice analogy! Maybe this will make people understand that why people quit is not important, it's important that they don't. Do you really care why he had to quit and leave you to almost certain death? Oh, you do? Are you a quitter by any chance?

@Shadow Slayer 2

Apparently the ED battle system can't track who leaves a battle. So that means it couldn't replace the person with a bot.
Yup, guess we never really get rid of the problem this way.

@SS There are rarely people with zero credits leaves the game. Plus realistic? Ha my idea will be more realistic then yours every be. If they do have no credits and they leave then they get negative credits.
