what do you mean by that? Sometimes people check mark the 'Do not show my char thing' in the profile so their char link is not seen. Whereas sometimes people put more than one id of their multiple char in that one space in profile and so the finder does not understands that number and hence no show.
If you didn't understand what I'm saying then I can elaborate it if you want.

Well for some people when I click on their button this page shows up instead of their character page: http://aq.battleon.com/build30/findcharacter.asp

eg. they put 99999999,8888888 in the profile which may be the ids of multiple char's. the finder only understands 1 id number. It doesn't understands commas.
Try seeing the web link shown in your char link and the other whose you are unable to see. You will understand the difference. Sry time to log out.

^Yes, I read what you said in your first post.

My apologies for not making my original post clear. I was talking about people who have just quoted 1 account id number.

I had tried that in the past and it still gives the same link: http://aq.battleon.com/build30/findcharacter.asp

It works for me, so the problem may be that your cache hasn't been cleared in a while, don't forget to clear your cache periodically. The key combinations for Firefox, IE and Google Chrome are CTRL+r or CTRL+5, alternatively you can go into your internet options, usually under Privacy, Delete Browser History, Clear Private Data or any such similar name, then select which types of data you wish to wipe, make sure you select the checkbox for cache.

The main reason I can think of would be that the number they put in as their account is incorrect or they put in a random number that isn't a real account . If the number isn't a real account, it will open that generic character page search screen you mentioned because it can't find the account.

I also want to say that it's possible that they're using an account that for some reason we don't allow to display a character page. I have this vague memory that we were able to do that if there was a reason we didn't want the general public to be able to see a specific character page, but I could easily be wrong and that's a complete fabrication.
