When you click your '(view last 50 posts)' link. I would think that it is the number of times people clicked on the thread. And why are most of them n/a?

Your guess is correct, hits is the number of views the thread has had. It was removed from public view because people kept refresh-spamming the forum server to get their hits count up.

Also, thread replies are always n/a. I believe this answers your second question.

It only shows the actual numbers instead of "n/a" if it's the original post of a thread, i.e. if you started a thread and you're looking at that post in the column. Then it lists Replies as a number (say, 12 instead of n/a). However, eying one of my recent threads, the hits count is still 0 despite having 4 replies, so I don't believe thread hits are even counted anymore, though I may be wrong and it may be visible to admins or such.

@below: Hmm, really? I've got a hunch as to why the hit count on my thread is 0, but I can't say anything for certain. I'll poke around.

^ You explained my above answers thoroughly, so thanks.

Also, the hit count seems to be working for me. For example, this thread has 55 hits, last I checked, and your AQ3DQ&A thread has 756 hits. The only posts that don't get their hits counted are replies, as you mentioned above.
