I have seen it being mentioned by other's. The problem of people leaving or getting disconnected in a 2vs2 fight to often which results in a unfair loss.
So i have come up with something which i hope can be implemented into the 2vs2 battle, a system that gets rid of this problem for once and all.

I'm going to trie to explain this suggestion as clear as i can:

When a person leaves or gets disconnected in a 2vs2 battle:
A battle bot could replace them and take their place. This is the brief explanation. A bot replaces the person who leaves in battle, how ever to keep it fair. This bot isn't going to be a standard stat bot which would cause advantages in some and disadvantages in other situations. If you give it a standard amount of stats or health it could be stronger or weaker than the person who left.

So that means this bot should be the same class and the same build with the exact same stats as the person who left. These also include the same amount of energy and health as the person who left. Example: The person on your side has used 3 turns already, with a total of 60/90 health and 35/50 energy remaining. All the sudden he gets disconnected which would leave you defenseless against 2 opponents. A bot replaces their place but it doesn't have a full health/energie bar it has the same amount as your partner who left had. So a exact replica/copy of the person who leftOn top of that this bot is being controlled by the person who remains of that team side.

Why is it being controlled by the player and doesn't it act by itself:
I have played alot of 2vs2 battles during the Infernal War in which you could get teamed up with a mechachillid. At the 1st vault it was still possible to get teamed up with a mechachillid against 2 other players. I experienced alot of frustration because (no offense) the actions of the mechachillid were ridiculously ignorant i kept slapping myself in the face for every move it made. It wasn't a strong npc eather (it wasn't buffed at that time). So to prevail this from happening the bot should be controlled by the remaining player on the team. This way when for lets say you malf a person and this bot decides to energy gun the person you didn't malf, make it controllable for the remaining person who knows what he/she is doing.

What happens when for some reason both players on the same side leave in a 2vs2
Frankly i'm still thinking this through. What happens when both players on the same side leave and both get replaced with a bot. Will the battle end automaticaly when the system picks up that there are 2 bots on one side. Or should it continue, but since there is no player to control the bot's they switch to 'auto pilote' and fight for themselves. Just like the mechachillids, but in this case since both players left it wouldn't affect the side that has the bot's placed on them. How ever still requires to opponents that did stay to still deliver a effort instead of automatic win.

Last but least this bot could just have a basic look and depending on the class it's replacing it could hold a staff/blades/club. This is only optional.

Feel free to disscus, share your thoughts and idea's.

Cinderella already said this would be impossible because the system wouldn't be able to detect who's left battle,

Cinderella's post: '' We actually had something like this in the past. There was a "run" button, and players would be punished for running too often by having their battle privileges suspended. The issue with implementing something like what you're suggesting is that it's impossible for the system to detect who closed their browser window, whose internet deride, who tripped over the computer cord, etc. It's also possible that you happen to be getting players whose battles fail to start. If thats the case, i see how it is impossible. I wasn't sure if it was possible in the first place, but i was hoping maybe someone who knew could tell me.
It's a pity, this way you can't get rid of the problem. Maybe we can hope it could be made possible in the future. If titan and rabble or done doing a 1000 other fixes.

There is always a f5 button you know.

It seems so.

Have had that problem to. Sometimes when it takes to long i want to cancel, but somehow it started just the moment i press cancel and the match begins with me dropping out just before it starts. I think that's how those situations where you start with 3 players in a match occur.

I support this idea, though I don't think it's possible. :/

@Viesty

Unfortunately thats the case. I'm no coding expert so i can't tell how hard it would be to make this happen. All we can hope is maybe it will be made possible in the future.

@Mr. Clean

Well sometimes i did manage to win when my partner left, but that's up to luck. People don't wan't to depend on that much luck every match.

One problem here:

If the system doesn't know a player is no longer in battle, then how come that players turn gets skipped somehow after he leaves?

The system does know when a player is no longer in battle, otherwise his turn would come, and he would be awarded a win in case his partner wins the fight alone.

I like this topic's general idea, that's why I not only support it, but I see it feasible.
