As the title states: separate the chance of contacting from Dexterity and add it to Support. Right now Dexterity boosts the chances of both blocking and hitting. If we take away the chance of hitting we manage to reduce the effectiveness of the two overused builds: Strenght builds and Focus builds. Both of these rely on Dexterity for physical protection plus block and hit chance. Dexterity would still remain as a strong stat, which boosts physical protection, chance to block and still enhances a few skills. An addition of hit chance would serve to boost the weak Support stat and lessen tanking. It would also increase Support's value as a 'luck based stat' and boosts it's offensive value.

Edit: To add, the old minimum and maximum percentages remain as the same are now.

So, what are your opinions on this subject?

I think we need chance to cause opponents to anti-critical since it has no opposite.

Instead of you or me getting a critical hit, the opponent would have a critical hit SUBTRACTED from their attack.

I think he means unlucky strike basically, so attack instead of being either normal or critical, it'd be unlucky thus dealing damage below average. So it could stack with deflection and lower the damage even further than deflection itself.

Besides, it's not that bad idea when you look at it. If enemy would have critical hit, of course you cannot make it unlucky but deflect it at the very best. So there'd be low chance - depending on your Support and enemy's - to land an unlucky attack and deal damage below average. Chance would be low, just like it is for Criticals. Perhaps introducing minimum of 0% would also work since people wouldn't be angry how luck-based they are since they.. wouldn't be if chance is 0% with biiiiiiig difference in Support.

We already have some people complaining about blocks, deflections, crits, and stuns happening as it is. The last thing we need is an unlucky strike added to the mix. We even have some people complaining about weapons specials that involve luck as well Which can be shown here. In fact that users hates luck so much he would rather have all specials work like the chairman's fury one just to remove luck.

The last thing we need is something else in the game that can be abused. I could see it now people making unlucky strike builds just like they do dex, tech, support, strength, and focus builds. While the first four (crit, stun, deflection, and block) are game mechanics that are needed to balance the game unlucky strike isn't. Maybe as an armor special or primary weapon special but not as a built in game mechanic.

0% would mean no luck in fact and chance would be set low. So what if people find other things annoying because of the luck chance? If you can make your Support good enough, you could make the chance 0% so it won't ever happen. Luck? Luck is having minimum rate over 1% (game rounds up) and blocking. Only because people hate on something doesn't mean it'll be removed nor something similar cannot be suggested. We're free to suggest our ideas and Support is in need of a buff and this would be good enough.
You have no basis to judge the idea since it has no numbers. If unlucky strike lowered damage by up to 10% then highest it would remove (before defences) would be up to 7 damage at most. With low chance as well, it's even less (10% chance for example, 7 damage is average thus making it 0.7 damage less taken per turn).

Unlucky strike abused? Unlucky strike builds being made? I don't see people making Critical builds being made yet Support always had crits. Why should it be any different? Don't judge the idea by the past experience since you don't even have values for it and you seem to criticise it as if it was already in-game.

I like the original idea. It would definitely reduce the effectiveness of str/dex builds and also boost support a bit.

Then you have Shadow Arts, requiring 42 support, then bonus Support increasing the chance to connect.

(If this is put into effect, CH will be OP; make Malfunction improve with Dex then)

Not supported.

Making Malf improve with dex wouldn't just OP CH it would OP TM as well. There are already 3 moves on the TM skill tree that improve with dex adding Malf to this just make a new breed of dex tank TM that would be even more OP the current caster TM.

Wow, just wow. Now now people are complaining about focus builds? Simply unbelievable. Should we all just do the same exact build as one another?

As far as your idea, it might be ok if the do it. Kind of like a deflection, but with a strike instead of a gun.

Neither supported nor unsupported.

As I said in the original post, the requirement of SA could be easily swapped from Support to Strength. This might prevent CHs from spamming Support and Dexterity in order to gain 'free hits'.

It is not the Focus builds people are complaining about really. Sorry about misleading. It is the tank Focus BMs people are concerned about. This change might make it a bit more difficult for them to use the tank build, since placing the enhancements only on Dex won't quarantee that the bot hits.
