I like the idea, but the method seems a bit unfair to factions who are already struggling to capture one flag as well as those who have to maintain control of multiple flags. The reason I like this is that it encourages faction participation and since Battle Tokens cannot be bought (like Varium and Credits...yet) it levels the playing field a lot. With the changes that Omega will bring, players will be forced to go into PvP battles, if no missions are available, to earn Battle Tokens. All of this culminates into more active players in PvP, which is an added bonus.
As for the method, I think it would be more effective to have a daily count of the current flags captured by both alignments. For example, if Legion factions have captured more flags at reset than Exile, then Legion would win the contest for that day.
As for the rewards, I haven't the foggiest idea of what would be worthwhile. Obviously, it must be something that every participating member of the winning faction would receive. That's up for further discussion.
