I will be quick. You can scroll down to the idea (title in red), or even read some of my thoughts about the subject.

-Essentially, the idea is a ratio% that represents the wins-losses of your last 200-300 battles, to accurately show how you are performing/how skilled you are right now.

In this pvp game, I could not care less about ratios. The way they currently are, atleast.
As long as I am the best I can be right NOW, that's what matters.

Being a credit player since the beginning, and not using NPCs to boost my wins (I have leveled 98% through PvP), it is only normal that my win-loss rations are not the best compared to other players.
My record can seem "tainted" by the past, as it does not represent my skills as a player. It does not truly reflect my current performance at all.

Showing only wins does not say anything on you how good you are.
Sure, you can have the amount of losses kept only to yourself, and hidden to others, but how can they know?
If losses are not represented, how can a player know how good he is? how can a player know how well he is doing? How can he improve?

Past ratios tell nothing about a player skill. Ratios of when you were a newbie, had no money, fought NPCs to win, had no expecience or any other reason.... they should not misinform us on how good a player is right now. Because in the end... that's what really matters.

The idea I have is the following:

- Create a ratio based on your last 200-300 battles. This would show the number of wins and losses of your last 200-300 battles, as well as the percentage%.
- Keep the amount of wins and losses showing as statistics. THEY ARE OK! Players should be able to show how many battles they have fought in the past, etc.
- This ratio would exist for 1vs1, 2vs2, juggernaut, separated. (obviously)

This way, we would shift the attention of current Wins vs Losses, to a more exact system. A system that shows how good you actually are!
NPCs will not taint this ratio, neither your past mistakes or lack of money or anything.
Players wont lose anything they have right now, but the skill of a player can be represented in the NEW ratio! OMEGA will bring balance, and this is the best way to show our true skill. :)

Good idea.
It could be made as 'Last month win ratio', calculated on a monthly basis.
Supported.

if it removes losses and battle counts, and only counts % for the last 200-300 wins, then i support.
if losses and battle count remain to be seen by anyone, then i wont support.

thats my view on it.

Not supported

It will just be like AQW!

I want to see my Win/ratio
Its a Strategic Game
Why on earth would I only want to see the % for the last 200-200 wins.
I wouldn't want that................

@blaze
its a strategy game indeed, but ratios are forcing players to not be creative, and use OP builds to maintain their ratio. this is contributing to the bad balance in the game.

@blaze
its not like AQW.
AQW doesn't track wins, and has less customization of builds.

the balance there (last time i checked it) is far worse there with classes being able to 2 shot and kill u in a second.

@Drianx
I thought about that, but it would not work well in some situations.

If a player stopped playing for a while, he would find himself with no record.
The most balanced way of showing the player development is making it the same for everyone, regardless of how much you play.

200-300 battles is just a number, I think even 500 would be fine (that's open for discussion!).

@goldslayer1
The idea is to keep all the wins and losses, but just as statistics, just numbers. The reason for this is that people should still be able to view how many battles played, etc. And many players worked too much for their current win-loss ratio, to see it disappear just like that.
But don't worry!
With this new idea we would shift player attention to the new ratio%. Those would be the numbers people would care! :D

@Blaze Wing
I will explain that. First, part of the idea is to keep the statistics of wins and losses showing, as I mentioned before.
You can still look at it if you want, nothing is taken away from you! :)

The idea is to add a NEW ratio!
A ratio% based on your recent performance, to accurately represent how well you are doing now. This ratio would represent true player skill, and would show accurately if you are improving or not.
If you are a good player now, does it make sense that other people judge your skill based on if you were a payer or not, farmed NPCs or not, or if you were a newbie in the past?
I say you are as good as you are right now.

In Omega there will be a fresh new start in terms of battle fairness and balance. Current ratios wont even represent correctly the changes of what is to come.
No NPC record! No gap! Balance between players!
We should have a new Ratio% for this fresh new change! :)

i have a 93.2% ratio, ill give it up if they remove losses and battle count.

angels has a 97.4 (highest in all time boards)
she too would give it up for the removal of losses.

Because it would look better than what you have now. Unless your skill gets worse in time, of course.

Exactly, and this ratio shows your current skill much more accurately than just plain win-loss amounts.

It is also a very useful tool for knowing if we are improving or not! :)

How about making it count from the previous 25% of your total wins.

Example:
Fought 1000 times, the system records the ratio for the previous 250 wins.

Well, that's not a bad idea, but then it would become harder and harder to change our record over the time. I would prefer it to be determined by number of battles, so we can see changes in our performance in the same amount of time.
And it seems easier to record the ratio this way, you just have replace the last battle with the new one.
