Unlikely hood of "Blocks"

So, as we all know, blocks are completely down to luck... Early today, I made a good +3focus build with 137dex. Needless to say, I should block 90% of strikes, however, I didn't. I didn't block one (against 2 lv 26's), later on in that game, they had gotten 3 blocks on me with only 42dex. Is the block system broken?

That's pure luck

And you should NOT be blocking 90% or attacks, you should be blocking about half...

The block system is a broken system of pure luck, and that's how it will be

More dex =/= more blocks only a better chance of blocking.

Hi ,

As it says in game , min block chance is 2% and the max is 35% only shadowarts (BH,CH skill) can exceed till 45%

soo no matter how much dex u have u cant get more then 35% unless u have shadowarts , GL

^Mother1, People KNOW that. But he had a HUGE amount of dexterity. He should've at least blocked once. You have said yourself that more dex means a better chance of blocking. The dex advantage was not only big but HUGE here. It should've been at least 1 block(him)=3 blocks(26's).

Just because you have a better chance of blocking doesn't mean you will actually block. That is what everyone who says "I have more dex then this person yet he blocks more" seems to forget. Better chance of blocking =/= will actually block

Ok. From this, JUSTICE had a 45% chance to block. The 26s each had a 2% chance to block. It is possible, but unlikely, so you just had bad luck.

 2% and they did it 3 times. Ive been playing Snork everyday since the armor came out and I still cant get it. Those level 26's are SUPER lucky!

 Locking this up since it is not really a discussion topic, it is more asking whether the system is broken, because you have been unlucky. If you really feel that there is a bug with the block system, then report it as such, but I can assure you that if you went to battles without blocking and you were blocked a few times against level 26s you were purely unlucky. You said you have max Shadow Arts, the max chance you should have of possibly blocking is 45% and that is if you meet the requirements (your dex and there dex being placed in the block formula to come up with the percentage) of the max of 35% without Shadow Arts being included. Chances are you don't notice too much when you block others, since it is a positive thing and with your high dex/SA you take it for granted. Due to this the Human brain will automatically register negatives more and raise it's complaints, since you notice it much more.
