I think story line should be based on what we have alreayd know we know death might still want revenge, pandora remains were taken, the sewers are fileld with monster, and we know that we have an evil cat on top of overlook we can work from their like a war the monster from sewers become agitated and are all released all over the city and u have to kill them all (hypothertically talking ) i think for items it could be simple u just need a coder and artist to make them.as for the remains the evil fraction could be trying to clone back pandora as evil character and that could go wrong and it turns out pandora go terrible messed up and is mutated and we have to find(quest) prepare(quest) capture(quest) and contain(quest) and fix(quest) her msitakes porblems and finally burry her(boss fight-quest) then we have death i know if i lost to mortal i would be mad i migth as well be mad enought to bring the dead back to life and send them after you that could work like mystery u have to find out were all this monsters are comming from(quest) and finally that leads to death(quest). now for powers fixing that shouldn;t matter since even fixing the powers that only has to do with pvp not storyline and storylines are what get people active power fixings should be maintain like something to do right after the storyline has been released like release event then the next weak works on bugs then released event then next week work on bugs.(i know i had punctuation and mispelled many words)(note i have relized this might have been the wrong topic but it somehow sitll applies to here i hope)

I honestly think if we can do more things like Davinci and Demolicious, where even though they were evil and good, their end results were much different from the normal hero and villain were Davinci wanted to bring back his brother and Demo was just in it for the money. So it's not just a clear cut Evil vs Good thing and we actually get to choose which side we like more based on the sum of the heroes and villains appeal. If every villain was like Davinci then would the villains still want to be evil? Or would they switch over to the Heroes if everyone was like Demo?

^Subtlety such as that will be lost on most HS players. I still say HS is going to end up as a crapsack world if nothing's done about the blind bias towards villains.

Cystal Lion: You give the HS'ers a disservice in saying they would not get the subtlety. Look at the heyday of these fourms. There were plenty of heroes and there was always moral ambiguity. Granted, half of it was not in game, but nonetheless you doubt them too much. A compelling enough hero can draw a crowd.

I've been a cynic after seeing zero victories for heroic players ingame. So, no, I doubt my sentiment would change very much. What's the percentage of heroic players ingame nowadays? I say less than 20% today, and it's still going to be a stale crapsack world until something is done by the team. If anything happens.

I mean, barely anyone ingame seems to be interested in heroics anymore. Everyone wants to be the biggest, meanest villain from the looks of it! (Except the Dealer, but he's seeking profit, last I checked.)

Hey don't forget about chaos, after all some players aren't heros or villians. Some people just like to go with their instincts and do whatever they want. Also I believe new powers need to be made as I'm not into superfical things like new armors/whatever the HS team has been bringing to this game over the last year due to the fact that it really isn't helping anything and serves no real purpose.

But anyway I'll take my leave as always *explodes into a cloud of white energy before completely vanishing*

If done right, the villain and heroes could be close to balanced in terms of players. It's pretty close to balanced in ED with Exile and Legion and there is no clear cut evil or good side. So far, the only motives for any hero or villain we have is Davinci and Demo(correct me if I'm wrong but we don't have any info why anyone else is fighting for their alignment aside from those two).

My villain for example is morally confused. Because of some stuff, he's aware of his existence across multiple plains as a hero which irks him because he doesn't want forced into that hero role. But because he tries resisting that role he ends up in a situation often where he's fighting between good and evil. Often times he compensates by combining the two to appease both sides, like savagely attacking a bank robber or defeating a hero without having to deal much collateral damage.

Though I do admit we need a Neutral/Chaos(people are iffy on Chaos with AE games because of its meaning in AQW) alignment so we're not forced between Hero or Villain.

I agree, ND. Emotional and motivational depths should always be important to someone when crafting NPC's, and in such a game as this, it would do quite a bit to bring a nice juicy flavoring into the mix, if not every character followed the sociological norms one would expect of someone labeled "hero" or "villain". For example, many heroes would not want to eliminate a foe in a more... permanent fashion. Some would prefer to do just that, whenever it would not be overly advantageous to take a prisoner (such as for interrogation or as a hostage).

I, personally, would like a sortof "evil mastermind"-esque character to be on the good side, for once. Ruthless and controlling, but clearly orienting his actions towards the cause/s of justice and order.
And to be fair, that would quite help both with making the people who prefer to choose villainy right now join Good more easily, and also (with regards to storyline, if it follows real-world tactics and implications) would allow for a logical way for Good to sortof "take back" the city from the rather villain-infested state it is in now.

(Nice comment about Exiles vs. Legion, btw- I've come to look at them as Totalitarian Dictatorship vs. Terrorist Freedomfighters, myself)

I think adding a neutral option would be exceedingly helpful to the... How do you put this...? *Depth* of the game, and somewhat more importantly, the universe, itself. That being said, if all is being taken into account, one should probably be allowed to side with either the heroes or villains, depending on the personal views in the conflicts, but also that Reputation should play a higher part in things, and that one's choice should have broad consequences based on/implemented with the reputation scores. I've always desired this, and there is obviously the problem with villains *trusting* a character known for good, or vice verse. *snickers at the thought of such idiotic NPC's*

And with regards to Chaos, I will say this: they feel that way because the situation regarding Chaos has desensitized them to Evil. They'd feel similarly towards villainy in far more cases if the evil side wasn't so effectively neutered in so many cases in that game, and made into a protagonistic force.

I don't think that the adding new areas was a good idea, we don't have enough players for all of these arenas, trying to find a game is a pain.
