Part II: First Battle The knights marched through the DoomWoods until they saw the undead army. The army of countless skeletons went as far the vision could see, chilling most spine of the soldiers of good. However, the paladins marching in the front lines gave the men moral to fight, even knowing they were in smaller numbers. As Aiitin's army spotted their enemies, all together they grumbled and screamed: "Arrreeeeewww!" at their enemies, running with the speed of a thunder horse. The front liners stood in a defensive position, raising their glorious shining shields. The ranger commandant shouted to his man "FIRE!" and the skies quickly were invaded by endless waves of burning arrows, smashing the bones of unprotected skeletons. Both armies sprinted towards their enemy and as the warriors got into their melee swing radius, the real battle started. Necromancers summoned more skeletons in the back lines of the army, while DoomKnights brawled fiercely with their equals of light. In eagle's eyes which yet had not struck with the arrows, undead exploded by the holy beams and knights flying sky high with dark, pulsating doom lasers. The battle was running well for Aiitin, as he had way more soldiers than his enemy, Galtoin. However, Jackthrill has given his king a perfect idea of creating super-soldiers of light: they were trained by the HighLords to become the most powerful, not only with the power of light spells but also having berserk-like fighting or magical powers yet with sanity of any common soldier, beyond the power of any DoomLord... the greatest men, the gold slaughterers of the undead. Galtoin accepted Jackthrill's idea and decided to promote him to a General, no longer paladin Jackthrill but now General Lionfang, leader of the Goldenslaught. The cost for each goldenslaughterer was about twenty four times bigger than for a regular knight. They used special armors, special holier weapons and even more special shiny holy things. And after three or four days of battle, one hundred Goldenslaughterers were sent into war. The result was a massive decrease of skeleton soldiers, DoomKnights were being less effective on battle and the Good troops were gaining grounds. It was confirmed, at least for a time, that Aiitin would face nothing but defeat.
