I donīt know you played 1 vs 1 after the new patch but the real news is all people is changing to TECH MAGE and TECH MAGE is being overpowered with Tech and Dex abuse.
Anyone has got a solution?

Edit: Cyber Hunters are a mix of that OP type and the old OP type of strenght abuse, so they are a little Op but itīs just a little thatīs nothing compared to high dex and tech TMs.

I haven't been beaten my many TMs this far, probably because of energy shield?

^ Problem is energy shields is useless against the amazingly OPED azreal aux.


You waste a turn and lose mana while they reduce to basically nothing and attack free gaining rage....



Both these new skill cores are outrageously OP, mages benefit from both extremely well having deadly aim and malfunction meaning they can make a strong debuff, wreck your shield and stop you healing with the gun...

 Actually, as a TM, I don't find myself that overpowered. I admit that with the new azrael promos, the power of classes with debuffs got upped enormously, including TM which also has deadly aim for their gun. Nonetheless, I'm still finding myself winning fights at the same win rate, if not a tiny more than most mercs right now, at the trade of a slightly slower fight.

I don't think TM is OP
However, the new skill cores are VERY OP

I told ya guys! In fact, it's not JUST skill cores that are over powered. It's the combination of skill cores with certain builds itself that makes it super deadly.

Actually what makes mages strong now is the fact that some of their burst damage skills are improved by dex and tech, the same stats that help them tank. And because of their Reroute, they gather enough energy to shoot 2 or 3 times deadly plasma bolts.

No other class is this effective both in dealing damage and tanking.

If anyone hasn't realized yet...
Just as suspected from the lead up to Omega...
ANY class that can abuse a stat is going to be OP in Omega - hence str mercs and tech TMs...
Either reduce energy to original numbers (simple solution) or the skills need even more nerfing (not elegant).

Its the fact that Malf+Azreal gun+Caster skill makes them uncounterable.

Tech mage is good, but consistently beatable. Maybe they're just a counter build to you, or you need to try a different approach. (Hint: Energy Drain)

I am currently a tech Mage and made a similar build with overload and plasma with very high des and tech and energy shield completely ruins these kinds of builds considering I don't have said "OP" promos

What I do when facing them:

1. Go first: Energy drain. Keep on doing it so they can't malf/plasma constantly.

2. Go last: Save all of my energy to heal. Try to live through it...

And of course, there's not a 100% counter method...

I throw up E shield and hope to outlast them. Really sucks against the support ones though as they can crit the heck out of me anyway. :(
