Hiyas;

I would like to take this opportunity to stress my concerns about the newest cores.
I'd like to talk about the Aux effect, not the Gun effect (Which most people seem to be concerned about.).

Azrael's torment, is, in my opinion, a good working skill, with nothing wrong with it.
However, as you probably know, that core already existed, in a different form.
Last year's Azrael's Borg's special had pretty much the same effect, except for the fact that it does way less damage (I believe it's 25% before dmg calculations?)
In my personal experience, it usually results in 3 dmg, while the aux easily does more.

In addition, both core descriptions are pretty much the same, except the Azrael's torment core saying it involves shooting.
( Azrael's Torment ~ Heart Attack)

My conclusion is, that Heart attack should be buffed to do the same as Azrael's Torment.

Actually as an active user of the azreal's borg I can tell you the damage done from the effect is 60% before damage calculations.

However instead of buffing Heart attack damage I think we should nerf Azreal's torment to that of heart attack. I am saying this because if you look at other aux core effects none of those effects do 100% damage yet this promo core does. Something is wrong with that in my picture.

We could make Azrael's Torment the same as Heart Attack, or we could mix it up and say 100% damage, 33% buffer nerf. Either way I am fine with.

HAHAHAHHAH You want to give azreal borg a buff.....

Basing this on the fact that an oped version is stronger....





Wouldn't the better more obvious solution would be to nerf azreal torment down to azreal borg's level somehow.


Especially considering the original azreal borg is IN NO WAY weak.

It is arguably one of the most game changing robot specials and in NO WAY NEEDS A BUFF.



This goes for any other new oped thing they release (without a more proper balance testing is bound to happen) that put's an older similar version to shame, WHAT needs to change is the OP newer version.

He is talking about the battle damage not the effect of the buff.

However I won't argue with you because I am in agreement with you. The damage from the aux should get nerfed to 60% to match that of the azreal's borg.

I agree that it should do 605 damage. However, in half the cases, this may not be very helpful, because currently, if you are using it to get rid of a shield and your aux it the same type as the shield, it was probably going to do near 3 anyways...

@ NDB,

It is always possible to simply use the opposite damage type aux to whatever you class debuff is, if its smoke use the energy aux and ifs its malf use the physical.


So technically this can easily be abused still with massive damage.


I personally like the idea of a different way to nerf using it, rather then low damage.


How about when using this aux any rage you would of gained for using it is instead drained for your own rage bar, to make it a cost to rage to use this skill, rather then a bonus.


Because currently those who use this on shields get and extra attack, don't have to waste energy, have the same damage , AND obtain rage....


One of those factors could be changed to give it a sufficient nerf.


And for sack of variety I think the rage drain cost would be sufficient enough.

No matter what "valid reasons" you might put up, this is either:

- I don't have Borg so I don't want it buffed
- I don't have the zooka so I want it nerfed
- I have the Borg but don't have the zooka so I want the Borg buffed and the zooka nerfed
- I have the zooka but not the Borg so I want both to stay as they are

Therefore, Discussion value = 0.

^ I have the bazooka and want it nerfed, I don't have the borg and want it to stay as is because it's reasonably balanced as is.



OH no!, did I break your little hypothesis?

I do understand your point, Im sure many players are blinded by selfish reasons, In this case however I am definitely not.

I honestly don't care if you nerf my zooka to nothing, if it means better balance.
