@Labyth ... What?
All I'm saying is that Ice is just too easy to use. So people JUST use them. The same goes for fire character. Getting a statue should be based on honor. Not on incinerate being a little OP.
Heh 81 wins is enough :D But I'll go for more.

Andlu: Again, refer to my "best player within given rules" logic.

If incinerate is the key to victory (And right now, only 1 out of top 7 uses Fire regularly), then you adapt and use it yourself. If you want to win.

alright right now all i am n seeing is if a player wins he wins lets not forgot easy character mean easy win but if you are using a good character and you meet an easy character and you can use your character well it doesn't mean you will automaticly lose you have to fight on you cannot jsut give up cause your fighitng an easy character.
When i fight an easy character and win i get the same Joy as when i use my rat and KILL A PUMPKIM LORD OR REV EGG OR POISON DRAKE OR ALL THOSE TOP CHARACTERS I KILLED SO FAR BUHAHAHA and apart from my little modo change right htie if a headless horseman player win the tourney and gets a statue that will change nothing we alreayd have a headless statue if you guyr remmeber halloween event their was one in the center of town so that won't change much anything it will jsut be halloween.

And anyways is the 1tourney incenerate shouldn't amtter mucch how in the pass did you win....against this character with fire.so just endure with it until incenerate get nerfed with at least an energy cost.

@above to THE JOP thanks for specefication i sort of went bac to vpp until i had uour respond now i am going back for the MONK

@Baron Well, I don't want to be the first, I just wanna have my name on the champions page. That's enough for me.
Also I don't wanna make it unfair for others. So I'm sticking with VK.

@Baron For some people, yeah. I personally want to win(or at least get back to 2nd place) but I have too much pride to conform and use the OP tactics everyone else does.

well, I'm more of a support character anyway... so I'm not fighting in this tourney, think of me as a krillin/yamcha in late dbz.

but yea, everyone knows paladin master is the strongest character.

I didnt want to use him and seem OP.

Slight miscalulation Daichi(is bit of an old picture)let all remember who we really need to fear we all have in our character storage they run undero our feet and they live in the inn were you sleep they also carry diseases and have sharp claws and teeth. and they also start gangs and groups and attack in units. and are also control; by a Reasearcher named labyth who expeirments on them making them better then the rest.

@Tally: I can understand that. But then it comes to the point where you need to decide between "pride" and "wanting to win".

In the ED's Golden Yeti tourney, I kept using my slow build because that build has been my pride since Beta. On the last day, I realized I'll need more speed. I ditched my superior build for the sake of faster wins/losses and got my placing.

So the same applies here as with things like rare collecting. Can't get something? you just didn't want it enough then.

Honestly, no offence, but I believe some of you are being silly with your concept of 'pride'. Its a card game, and using certain card strategies doesn't make you more honourable than another person, or make your achievements worth more than somebody else's, its your choice to use whatever you want, and I believe people should use what they want without the fear they will be called cowardly for using 'easy' tactics.

On the other hand, I'm happy to see the servers seem more stable now

@Baron I'd still choose pride. If I won by giving in and using those tactics, then I didn't really earn it did I?
Not truly earning it is the same as never winning to begin with, in my eyes.

lol your the type of people who just drive me insane of interest ah such sweet words that you say so much the actuall ugly truth that is all real all of this is withing the rule so all of this allow if something changes it changes only those who care about it enought can make the change if your strong you can do it if your not ur doomed to it and be pshed aroudn by the waves. LOL ah great words great words ah time to head back to my lab i need to experiment on my lab if the rules are how badly one wants it then let it be different the strongest win.

@andlu and tally you decided what to do already but your character cannot be said they aren't OP let look clearly at their decks and we cann see how much OP they are themselves.

@Athena That's what I'm feeling. They just used what's more OP so they can get any chance of the statue. I'm sticking with VK, and not my level 20 FC, so I know I'll earn something with my Favorite character, not just another character.

@Tally and other people not using "OP" characters

Lets say you want to kill a monster and you had many choices of equipment but only the very best can slay the monster. Even then you will need to try your hardest but if you don't use the best equipment and try your best you have 0 chance of beating that monster. In my eyes yes if you beat something that is harder you will feel better and all that but if you need some kind of boost to beat it then do what you have to do especially when the opponents you are facing are doing the same thing.

In all games and in real life the harder you work the more you get so you work hard to get thing that will help you but if you don't use the opportunity to get better you will stay inferior.

So you have to work hard to get better and get things to help you so it isn't some kind of "short cut" or anything it is the product of hard work and dedication.

Tally: Not really. It's an earned win if you win. As long as you stay within the rules, anything goes.

Andlu: I doubt the choice would've changed based on the prize. Had I felt the need to make a fair attempt at winning the tourney, I would've used any allotted means anyways.

@kreem I'm not "inferior" though, I've been in the top 10 of the leaderboard the whole tournament xD I'm just bothered by all the other people that switched to Incinerate-using characters to win faster and get ahead. I'm doing rather well for myself anyway, though.

@Baron What is the FUN of earning something using something you DON'T like? I really hate Ice characters, so I have to use them to earn something?
I would prefer using VK and not earning anything really.

I actually LIKE ice elementals....just cause they're cool(geddit?) there's a reason I got my frost void to 20 y'know?

Andlu: Dunno. Maybe the way we view this subject is just different. I don't generally care for looks. I'm a relatively competitive person, so chances are the characters will be based on how good they are.

As I've said, nothing forces you to aim for the win. You just didn't have what it takes to win "within this set of rules", which may or may not ave involved ice characters to be used.

(And yes, whenever we do get a squid character, it will be my non-competitive main. I keep those two entirely separate for a reason.)

I still believe Fire needs a nerf in incinerate. They can take out over 50% of your HP (at 20) after 5 charges, I don't think any of the other elements can do that.

I am just saying sometimes you have to do things you don''t like so you can get what you want in this case 1st place in the tournament.

Tally I bet you could have been even higher and you won't be able to get the ultimate prize of first place. By inferior I just meant you won't win since you aren't using an OP "character" not that you are not as good in any way.

Here goes a quote from Baron Dante that will sum up a lot of what I was saying.
