im probably way past this point in factions since i haven't left CAD since its creation in june 2011.
when i first came to ED when it merged with AE, i made a faction called The Legion (this was in like 2009, so no, im not copying dage. maybe he copied me :o) mainly because i also had a clan with the same name in aqw.
it was mostly for aqw friends to have a faction to be in when they played ED.
however most of them didn't play ED later on so it went inactive. some quit.
Rogue Ninja who was a good friend of mines had stopped playing aqw so much, left my faction in beta and found a more active one. he joined Super Freaks United.
then i took a break from ED, went back to AQW. and then in mid 2010 i started to slowly come back.
thats when i decided to disband my faction and go with rogue ninja in SFU.
then i went inactive again for about a month or 2.
and came back in late 2010. however when i came back i was no longer in SFU, was kicked for inactivity.
so i then i been to crazy horses (was that the name? i know it had horses in their name and they were in top 2 all time for team dailies at the time)
i know i been in another 2 vs 2 faction as well (had creed in the name) which belonged to an aqw friend.
then later in around mid january, i decided that i would go for a 1 vs 1 daily.
and i was recruited by a friend (who also played aqw) to Death Syndicate X. this was around the time when they were in their 90s dailies and close to retiring.
i was gonna go for the daily and came on right before reset only to find out that my friend had left DSX. i didn't know what to do then. but
he introduced me to Vix and a couple of CAD members, they seemed pretty nice. so i decided to leave DSX (Dax got pretty mad at the time :/) and joined CAD. and then came my first 1 vs 1 champ. i started out as a tech mage, with 94% at the time. but the pace was pretty slow, and i switched to str merc, which got a very good 90% and much faster than mage. by the end of the day i had 777 wins with 90% and helped CAD win a daily that day.
during this time i also became friends with Angels Holocaust
then i got messages from vix about how impressed he was.
so i decided to give active factions a try. in about 3 weeks i had 6k wins with CAD. i really liked the faction competition and was looking forward to getting officer (was catching up on wins for the officer spot).
however around early February Vix had college tests and all that, and CAD was disbanded. i was disappointed because while i was there we had won most of the 1 vs 1 dailies.
then KOTR had about 6 spots open at the time, and we (me, vix, DKM, ice wolf x, mamaril) decided to go knights of the round.
i enjoyed my time there and had made new friends.
however there was an issue in kotr's msn chat at the time and i was kicked.
then one day angels comes online, and i decided to give Legit a try.
i had aspirations of dailies for legit at the time, so i recruited my old friend who originally got me into CAD.
and made him the recruiter for Legit.
and i was able to talk to Turkishincubus about merging his faction into Legit. he brought over ConQrR and shooters who were very active for dailies.
and we were able to get 2 dailies in legit.
later however my friend from aqw went inactive, turk and shooters had school tests coming up. and everyone was going inactive.
i later got the opportunity to join KOTR again with Vix and the others, and i decided to go. (sorry angels :P)
i joined kotr and we were going for dailies, and i decided to do 500 wins daily for a couple of weeks.
and i started doing 500 in the first 3 days.
before i finished the 3rd day vix decided that he was going to quit kotr.
at the time i didn't understand what was going on, but there were problems within.
but vix was remaking CAD on an afternoon (for me) of june 14, 2011.
and so i decided to go with vix. he made me co-founder and co-leader of CAD that (
so it began. then came reset (june 15) and we decided to go for daily with only about 10 members in the faction. (most of which were on the old CAD) we ended up filling the faction up and decimated the leaderboards for 8 straight dailies.
we ended up getting 12 dailies from June 15-29 in which then delta phase came out on the 29th.
thats pretty much my story.
moral of the story, what made me switch around from one faction to another were friends. (its probably the same for many others)
i dont think i would have joined SFU if it wasn't for rogue ninja.
i dont think i would have joined CAD if i didn't have friends in there who introduced me.
i dont think i would have joined KOTR if vix wasn't already there.
i dont think i would have joined legit if i wasn't friends with angels.
so i may not have been the most loyal person during my early days of ED. but i was loyal to my friends.
so today, i am glad im able to be in a place where i can be loyal to my friends and the faction at the same time.
