Again, I think this might be stupid since I had only 5 hours of sleep so I could wake up early enough for the update. Anyways, here's what I think that should happen with the new Mailbox system:

I am getting tired of people asking me where I got my Auxiliary and I feel bad if I ignore them. So, I end up telling them they're available from Dage the Evil. For some people, I don't think they check the Design Notes updates that much and end up missing on a few things. Therefore, I am suggesting that once a Design Note post is created, we get emailed to our Mailbox. This should make people understand that there's a lot that they might be missing if they don't read it.
I know that there's the "What's New in EpicDuel..." but it doesn't contain valuable information.

The choice of displaying the image should be up to the player rather than the Staff automatically making it display after each update. The email doesn't have to be sent at the exact time that the Design Notes were updates, it can be in the next 5/10/15... minutes. This is probably going to be time consuming for the Developers.

This may be hard, but what if there is a button in game to send you to the design note?Could be easier for the Developers.

I think one thing that is best about this new feature is the fact that it opens up so many possibilities. One of which could be to either send the DN's via mail to each player (which, as said above, may be difficult to do), or send a mail around when new design notes are up saying 'New design notes are up, check out what we are developing here*', which does prompt players who tend not to check the rest of the site out, only the game, to actually look at them.

No promises right now though, since it is early stages and we are still fully deciding exactly how the system will be utilised!

*Linking to the new design notes.

I did have a thought of sending a message to everyone when a new Design Note has been posted. Just a huge button linking you to the page (<-- It was my first idea before I changed it into text rather than a link) or the normal message on top of the screen.

It's great that there's like an email system but if it expands to people being able to send emails, I'm sure there's going to be some problems between each other. Maybe spam, hate messages....

The message box could give rise to another idea.
I remember that any player that gets an item they drew in the game they get a copy of there items as a gift.
What if they also get a message containing 1-5 (or one that can be used more then once) secret codes that they can give to others through the message box so they can get it from the City Guard prize code menu.

Not going to happen. Codes are special and aren't meant to be given privately. It won't be fair on others who probably never have redeemed one so far.

With it being opened to a player to player messaging system, we are only currently considering opening it up to friends to message other friends, so users can decide who they can get mail from by monitoring their friend list. At most, it will be opened up for faction members to message each other, this is something we would like to do, but we certainly will have to see how it all goes!

how about mail works with a contact system?
you can add anyone in your rank in a faction, or anyone below your rank (founder can add anyone, officers can add almost anyone, and members can add each other.)
othere than that, your buddy system is added to contacts automatically, and you can just click a person and add them to mail contacts (but you can BLOCK a person, after receiving a single message, or add a setting which blocks all incoming messages from people who you did not add)
