Since the new update that buffs are displayed i think you should add like the level of the buff and if poisoned thereshould be a countdown if how many more rounds .. just a small number in the upper left corner

the black is for skill level, the yellow one is for limited time only like poison,frost shard, curse, defense matrix and other buffs

the skill lvl is indicated by red and the countdown is yellow.

yea, your title doesnt sound like anything else.....

i support the countdown thing.

I would support the latter idea. When u move ur cursor on the icon it indicates the level. The former one makes it too hard to see.
