Ok guys, so 5 years of ED is over I guess and still there has almost nothing changed. Look at the FSI list. There are way more, maybe 100 good ones and still nothing changes.
I think the ED staff should focus on these things which will result in more ED players.
Also, me as a free player I don't have any credits to buy the new event weps. In one month I barely got 20k credits with doing power hours almost every day. When the drops were gone I had 3 x less income to buy cool weps. So also implemented suggestions as tournaments would mean more credits.

What do you guys things?

While I do support change in an MMO, I'd also like to mention that I've played several MMOs where changes were made and only made the games lose their charm. If Epic Duel is a PvP game, and they started to implement more features that had nothing to do with PvP, the game wouldn't be the same. And I'm only mentioning this because you complain about how nothing has changed, and yeah I've seen it happen in games before and it's not always a good thing. That being said, if they implemented more features keeping their focus on PvP, I'm all for it.

(Also, I know you're not particularly saying that they should focus on features outside the PvP area, I just felt like giving my two cents on change in an MMO)

Just a quick statement, some of the 'good ones' on the FSI have been completely decided against, whether this is due to them not being possible, to hard to implement or deemed as not something we want to do. There are certainly some good ones on there, however a lot are ones that take a long time to implement or are still under consideration of whether we do want to implement it or how we would implement it. A lot of the things implemented actually are inspired by or are player suggestions, granted they are not all frequently suggested, however it does need to be remembered that the FSI is a list of frequently suggested ideas that have not been implemented yet, not the ones that have, which does give a bias view of it.

For those who have not read it, there is a very nice quote from Charfade in the FSI topic that does explain a bit better than I have above why some of the suggestions just cannot be implemented. I do agree it is very important to implement suggestions and as a result, we do try to do this as much as possible - with tournaments, it took a very long time to come up with a working system and that was trialled with the Golden Yeti tournament, possibly with the feedback we got from that, we can work on others in the future! :)

There are several ideas in the suggestion forum that we really like, but for one reason or another we cant implement it into the game. ( see top reasons below ) However 90% of the suggestions we do implement are ideas spawned by player suggestions. Its also a lot faster to suggest an idea then it is to make it feature complete in the game. So while were working on 1 feature that has been suggested in a week... over 100 or more in the week get added making it seem we dont implement them.

Top reasons why suggestions dont get implemented in to the game

-The suggestion is game breaking, meaning it could open up the game to exploits, hacking and general cheating by other players.

-The suggestion is illegal for us to make.

-The suggestion can not be implemented due to a limitation of flash. Not the limitation or knowledge of the ED staff.

-The suggestion is bias, only favoring a particular group or just themselves. We have to consider the entire EpicDuel community when implementing new features.

-The suggestion would take more time to implement then that we have to create it. If we really like these suggestions we usually slowly develop them in the background and go un-announced until we are sure it can be implemented. Sometimes we spend time on a new feature and have to toss it out because of a limitation of flash or breaks the game in some way, etc. It slows down progress unfortunately.

-The suggestion isn't a priority. There are some suggestions we like, but others we like better. So the better ones get suggested and pushed up to the top while it could go months or even years for the lower priority ones to be implemented.

Those are just a few, but I think are the most important ones to mention. Everyone on the team puts in 100% effort. Things may not go our way all the time, we hit roadblocks and often as in every game you work on you have to problem solve constantly for a better solution. These things take an enormousness amount of time and brain power. Burn out is a thing we constantly have battle. Since the hours we put into the game isn't a simple 9-5 plan like other full time jobs with weekends and vacations off. That simply isn't in our DNA. Will work over holidays and weekends if feel we want to get ahead on the week or if a problem shows up and has to be solved.

These are not excuses of the progress of the team, just an explanation to consider.
