Clear your cache and restart your browser. I fixed that a couple days ago. You still have a cached version.

anyway, awesome class! might be my new favorite! went through entire fights against hardmode driller without taking damage! AND it doesn't drain mana out the wazoo like deathknight!
just one question. not really serious, just frustrated with myself. I was a noob when I made my account, and I made it black on black.
is there ANY chance.........MAYBE.......Even the slightest.......that there may be plans..........possibly.............................. .....for a guardian only color-paint room added to the guardian tower?
not whining or anything, don't get me wrong! just thought it'd be cool!

edit; also, a more serious question arises, Ash. I'm not really sure of the point of the guardian blade. It's good for a it's lvl of a weapon, but it doesn't seem to affect my class when I change the weapon.

May Guardian's Heals, Hp and Mana get a buff to match DL's? It would add a lot more suriveabilty to the class,

Side note for personal want: May the Ult get less big damage gap? Like from 150%-250% to 200%-250%

Helpful!

So recently I've been fooling around with this class and there's something funny about Awethur's Power: if you proc the OHKO, the enemy will die even if you didn't actually do enough damage to defeat them. That is to say, the 10,000-11,000 damage displayed when you use it means nothing; you could land 10,000 damage with Awethur's Power on a 50,000 HP monster and it would still be defeated. This caught my attention after I, quite unintentionally, wiped out the 83,000 health Ouch! Enraged Deadwood Destroyer; I then tried it on several other monsters with grotesque health and received similar results (and later was shown a YouTube video displaying this in action). This is notably different from Evolved Pumpkinlord's OHKO, which only applies a DoT equal to the target's health (and therefore won't actually OHKO something that has an All resistance) instead of actually instakilling on any monster it hits.
So, theoretically speaking, this class so frequently dunked on for being weak could very well be the only way to still beat Sepulchure or any other intended loss fights that were previously thought to be completely impossible (Book 3 Frydae also comes to mind). I say "theoretically," of course, because most of these fights come after impractically long quests/cutscenes or dodge most of your attacks; if you wanted to beat one of them, you'd probably be resetting or replaying a quest for several hours.

Just thought this was really interesting. I didn't read this whole thread so sorry if it's already been said (or if the over-analysis of such a degenerate mechanic disgusts anyone :p).

I was maining Guardian before I got SWoT and boy did it allow me to appreciate the other classes.

Guardian has a slightly versatile skill set but not as Dragonlord (although it is regarded as a defensive class but with the new artifacts, DL can become versatile) and DeathKnight (I think DK is the true hybrid class due to its passive). Guardian can deal with solo battles but has troubles when facing multiple mobs. In solo battle, it can loop its blind and parry skills. Despite this versatility, its skills lack firepower (in a literal sense). Even though it already has increase skill damage since its skills are element-locked. It's not on par with the current classes. In fact, Guardian has great difficulty when clearing the challenges, especially the new ones (The older ones require resists stacking and lots of potions).

I think Guardian is in another need of a revamp especially in terms of its damage. While the skill set is already fine, there could still be some improvements. As for which ones, well, I'm not sure if suggesting such massive changes to skills would be allowed. And while Cronix made amazing job with Guardian's art, the animation can be quite jarring sometimes. Personally, I would like Guardian to move similarly to Dragonlord with the latter's animation feeling more alive or dynamic with its subtle feedback or slight jerking on its movement like blocking or activating a skill.

I think all of you really should see this. It’s an important for the Guardian:

This proves that the staff know about this class and it SHALL be fixed in due time. But for now all we can do is support them with their current priorities and then they can proceed to do this when possible :D

What's the current effect for Awethur's Power? Because it feels like it hits for 100% base attack damage or less damage, rather than 150-250.

With 33% probability, hit for 600% damage. Otherwise, it deals 100% damage.

I... suppose it's still worth using, but damn does it feel disappointing to see it hit less than the base attack...

It's a shame to say, but I still find myself not using this skill too often even at a very generous one in three chance. I'm starting to think Awethur's whole effect has run its course and should be replaced with something entirely different.
Maybe it can reduce any active cooldowns on use? With nine skills giving certain effects to your standard attack, I reckon it could actually fit quite well into Guardian's toolkit.

Even though Awethur's gamble averages out to 267% damage, it still feels not worth it because most of the time you'll be getting less bang for your buck than using the basic attack. And this updated made it worse by making basic attacks even more attractive with the empowerment.

Maybe if the "fail" damage increased by 50% so it's at least better than an unempowered basic attack, at the expense of reducing the "success" damage by 100% to keep the average damage the same?

Personally I would rather just change Awethur into something consistent, as RNG rolls have never sat well with me (Cryptic's hp potion restore is something I also really dislike). It basically results in me hoping for something good to happen when I click it, which isn't a good feeling.
