I am, and have been for three years, a member of The Legion. But looking back through the story I ask myself, why? If you look at the story we were all kicked off the planet and launched into a realm of chaos and nothingness. Our characters just got back from that, regardless of who they were fighting for originally. Why would any rational human being go back to fighting for Baelius?

I thought about it myself and at first it didn't make sense to me (because honestly, why would you fight for unjust rule and all that jazz?). I've developed a hypothesis which goes something like:

Since people know they can't be "evil" in real life because of the justice system and laws, it gives them a little experience and a sense of adventure to be able to be on the side of "evil" when playing online games such as AQW and ED.

Yeah, but from a pure character standpoint your character gains nothing from being Legion. You aren't privileged if the Legion wins, and you were exiled by Baelius even if you fought for him, condemning you to chaos/realms of nothingness for years. I don't understand why any character would come back and still fight for the Legion.

Unless you plan to be ambitious for Legion.
Think about it. You were exiled but even then wanted to fight for the Legion. That should impress the higher-ups even more.

Unlike where Exile would almost see it as only logical you would fight for them.

1. Curiosity - I've always been drawn to shadowy figures. Not necessarily "evil" but people/groups with a great deal of "mystery" to them.
2. Power - I envision my character as being a worthy candidate to rule Delta V, but must first feign loyalty to Bealius and await the time to strike! :)

That may be true, though not in my case, but it's also worth noting that young males often have dark thoughts (not evil, just dark). I can recall listening to a lot of heavy metal as a teen and fantasizing about going to the pits of hell to defeat the demons and rule for eternity. (don't ask) These are things that the "good guy" characters (Exiles) don't relate to so I prefer Legion.

Ironically, in real life, I'm actually the good guy who would relate to the Exiles.

Some members of the Legion DO serve Alydriah...

Wow, this forum just proved that Legion are the bad guys. Either that, or all their members are just wack. I mean seriously, this one achievement called Baelius an EVIL overlord. And the members of Legion want to serve him... For peace...what?
