With the new Arcade and the introduction of Arcade Tokens, we can win an item every time we use Arcade. It may be a poor looking weapon, useless misc. item, or jackpot! We have Daily Missions awarding us free Tokens if we finish all the missions in the chain, or we can use Varium to purchase them instead.

As it stands, Varium is used as a shortcut and it's finally got a purpose apart from buying and upgrading weapons - albeit could be improved upon. Now, how about Credits? We're lacking a good Credit sink which would allow us to spend our Credits that we may've been saving for months - or years even - and don't have a use for them.
What I'm proposing is one pool of rewards at the Arcade being fully Credit-only. In other words, there is 4 different pools we can pick from and they are all available by using your Arcade Token, either from the Daily Missions or via purchasing them with Varium. The new pool would have its own set of rewards - just like other pools - but you could either use your daily Token, or buy one with Credits and it would only be working for this very pool. You would not be able to use it in Snork's Stash, or Valestra's Vault.

Whilst it may somewhat defeat the purpose of other pools being Varium-only, this new pool would not have new items put in as often as other ones, or rares. Perhaps it could be Alignment-based pool, which would give you Legion/Exile items. Or perhaps a Prize Code pool with old code items. Of course, for the latter, you wouldn't get a Prize Code reward at any category (Bronze, Silver, Gold) but the more rare the item is, the higher it would be. So, for example, items such as Banxorz Blade and Bounty Pistol (restocked twice only, IIRC) could be put in the Gold category. But say, Rev's Auxes which were released sometime ago, could be put in the Silver category instead. *this is only an example*
Although, I do believe Credit-based pool would be perfect for Prize Code items. Codes will likely be resumed someday and more items will be made. Codes are free as it is so why charge Varium? You cannot get these items in-game but only via time management (and luck), so it'd be just perfect.

Tl;dr: Credit-only pool with less rare items, compared to other pools. Perhaps Prize Code based one, so the items would be possible to rotate too + good for those who missed the code and wanna try some luck with Arcade. Other pools would remain as they are. The Credit Token would not be useable in the other pools, just the Credit-only one.

I dunno, it might be a cool idea, I just fail to realize why it's so important to have two separate pools. It just makes everything more confusing. Besides, why would I want to play the arcade that offers less valuable prizes? Like the current arcade doesn't already reward you with useless things!

And sure, a so-called "crown sink" But did you know the majority of the players in Epic Duel aren't loaded with credits? I can barely afford the come and go achievements once they're out, myself. Tbh, the players that claim to have millions of crowns because they farmed during the Chairman Platinums event have only got themselves to blame if they can't get rid of it all.

prize codes are sort of ultra rare so they should all be in the gold section if this is implemented

plus i support this credit pool ive been missing out on alot of codes and i wanna test my luck a bit especially with credits

@martinsen5
How does two different pools make it confusing? We already have four different ones, but the fifth one (the suggestion) would be available for Credits or Daily Tokens, not Varium and Daily. And it's Credit sink, not crown sink. It is not relevant whether players have Credits or not - there will come a time where you will have two weapons of each, upgrade it all and Credits will be just piling up. It's just gives Credits additional use, instead of saving them up for nothing, and some players will have a lot of them.

As a note, NW is thinking about so-called Credit sinks, to give Credits additional use. Achievements are one but you're also assuming players will buy them. Some people would prefer some rares instead, and I'd be one of them (I enjoy hoarding rares across AE Games).

@CN2025
I'm basing their rarity off the amount of times the given code was restocked. For example, Banxorz Blade and Bounty Gun were restocked twice, so I'd say they fit in the Gold category. On the other hand, Moose Bane was given out a fair amount of times (total of ~10 times, for both versions but small Qty) thus I'd put them in Silver. Even more common prize code weapon would be in Bronze, but maybe two or three at most & rest would be in-game items (not all rares).

The whole purpose is to give Credits an additional use. You may already have all the weapons you need + upgraded, you may have all the cores you need, you may have purchased all the Achievements (especially prior to the removal of BT), so what now? Maybe I will try my luck in Arcade and get a rare weapon? I ain't forced to do so but why not! Or even if you don't have all the weapons but don't see a need to get more, and you're a rare hunter, why not go for the Credit Arcade? It won't do any harm if it exists, you aren't forced to use it (or spend Credits on it), it gives Credits an additional use, and gives players a chance to get prize code items that they may've missed (only suggestion for sake of the thread).

Supported. I like prize code prizes depend on their restock and rarities. Credit could also get a lot of more purpose and this won't make the arcade broken because this only add a new prize for credits.

I also think other than alignment specific weapon or prize code weapon there could be other item?

@Trans, Whoops, meant credit sink! Confusing currencies from other games, hehe. I still just really don't see the point of a fifth pool costing credits, I really don't.

Also, why in the world would I want to spend my tokens in the credit pool if it offers less valuable rewards than the varium one?

Perhaps, you may have rewards from the other ones? Alternatively, rare hunting is the thing for some people. For Credit use, both reason still apply + Credit sink. (I'm assuming you mean Daily Token) Besides, the rewards aren't exactly "less valuable" but they are prize code weapons which were released before, and they hold the Ultra-Rare status which other rares offered at the time, do not. Rarity for those is quite high too.

In the same way, why do we have four different Varium pools? Variety. Why have a Credit one? To give Credits an additional use + some players were disappointed to see Arcade costing Varium-only + variety.

Credit sinks are designed to be for end-game players, not those who are still leveling up since they've got other expenses such as getting cores, upgrading equipment or buying different weapons. At the level cap - assuming that you're somewhat active - you will only get Credits and only use them for novelty stuff, unless a new shiny item comes along. Apart from that, nothing else.

That too! Well, you get the idea now what items could be put there if the Credit Arcade was to be made. :p
