It has some synergy. Its grenades synergize together. Malf and defense matrix synergize. 4 str skills.

The game is so obviously broken...it's like a game of who changes class and abuses op builds the most...idk...you change to bounty/tm get to level 40 in 2 days...get legendary points...
all by jumping class copying build...they get a huge head start to legendary...just so wrong in so many ways...now i can't calculate my damage because everything is 3 digits...I mean no more strategy now...so just str str str attack attack attack...really frustrating...

@^ for quick math just drop the ones column and you should get something fairly close to the reality of the fight. Only three or four times have I had a fight where the HP stops between 0 and 10

Hasn't epic duel always been like that?

1 Find the most Overused build,
2 It gets copied
3 People who don't copy complain
4 Staff does balance changes that knock Overused build off pedestal
5 New build or builds that were balance by old overused build takes old overused build place
6 repeat numbers 1-5 on list.

You know when that wasn't the case? When there was no change class option.
I'm feeling like a broken record but they Have to put a limit on changing class
otherwise people will Always hop to the OP class without any consequences

You call having to pay 50K per class change cheap? If you are a hardcore player maybe, but not everyone is a hardcore player. Especially if power shifts from one class to another. heck even 900 Varium is nothing to laugh about with class changing.

I know, but most class changing happens at the higher levels. People couldn't care less how much they have to pay to change to the OP class
because they know they can either get their credits pretty easy with the 1 Build to dominate fights and if it's varium well, their win rate won't
go down so they do it without even asking.

What I ment with consequences is, if you add a Limit on it, people have to think about changing class or not.
Tell me, for instance, you are a OP class hopper, would you sacrifice your 1 time every 2/3 months class change to see what class is the next OP one?

As long as there is unlimited class changes, OP class jumping will never end

I agree with Calogero

If this is done ..... then it wil be one of the major step to reduce Build-copy, hence resulting in better game experience for all

If class is changed more than once in a month an additional 25k should be implemented or smthing like that

No make a limit like.. in 1 month there can only be # of Bh # of TM # of Merc # of CH # of BM # of TLM of course everything should add up to # of ED players

Christian, that would not be beneficial for several reasons.

1. If say, using your idea there are a few people who are TLM and feel like changing classes to try a different build/skills or whatever then they realize they cannot due to the number of TLM's is already full up they will most likely be frustrated and not feel like playing as they cannot play the class they want, when they want. It also removes some of the freedom the players have in changing classes freely.

2. There might be arguments over which class is full and which is not which could potentially result in one or several classes being "the favourite" class as most people chose those already which would not be good in any circumstance.

Best way I can explain this situation anyway.

Hope you see where I am coming from :)

Build copying will never end, whether we like it or not.
But when someone will be restricted from jumping to the OP class, he will obviously choose to quit rather than hurt his win ratio.
That is what happened with NPC farmers as well.

Limiting class change will limit build copying too. It's pretty obvious.

Also limiting player freedom. And when you take away player's freedom, you anger players. It could cause players to quit.

instead of targeting the class change feature itself, maybe the problem lies elsewhere.
ED Staff has been working hard on putting a balance on all skills. But every time something changes, something else rises.
I've been experimenting a bit myself and noticed the main problem is that all classes try to excel at everything.

So I think the problem lies there. 6 classes each focus entirely on damage dealing. BH has smokescreen perhaps to lower Dex and TM has Malfunction to target technology but that aside, everything is just about dealing damage.
Hence why I started a thread to talk about class roles. But this has to be discussed in the thread and not here. Else we start to get off topic.

On that note, I don't see the class change feature nor build copying shown in the patch notes. So we should be getting back on topic.

Back in Beta, there was a good balance between tech mage, merc and bounty. No class change/ jumpers.
Mercs beat Bounty, Bounty beat TechMage, TechMage beat Merc. It was balanced in a way.
Now, there are 6 classes but BH and TM make up 90% of the population and dominating the other classes badly.
* Note to Therril: I am talking about balance which you can read in page 1 of this patch notes and class change and build copying is related to balance/ imbalance.

There may or may not be an update this week. Hopefully there is one but I'm seeing no signs of there being one.

There better be an update if not at least a Bug fix because I'm getting extremely annoyed that they kept the Parasite bug in for 2 Weeks already

Not sure why I changed to Blood Mage (especially because of E.P.), I think I am going to be a Mercenary. It is a fun class besides Tech Mage.

Mercenary seems fun, out of all classes. It wasn't ever really that overpowered, on its own, and always had some variety - who doesn't remember the underpowered Mercs, for a very long time.

Let's hope things pick up real soon. This balance got me to temporary retirement, although I'm enjoying my time off.

The fact that most of you guys aren't used to the devs not fixing serious problems for several months at a time is what shocks me. That's how they role, and it is because of this that I am quitting for good. Leaving broken balance issues lying around
for so long is what's hurting this game. They had a good thing going four years ago but the potential this game had is gone. I mean it's taking what? 3 years now to balance classes out?

You can view this as mean or hurtful but it's the truth, something the devs don't care to hear from us players.
