Cat-Walkers
and the Children of Qualala's Menace

Prologue

The prairies and savannas of the South Continent are undeniably one of the most amazing biomes found in Lore. Regardless of its stunning beauty, the major dwellers (Catfolks, genetically different from its urbanized north cousins Kittarians), since the primordia of the times they were engulfed into ideological incompatibility and, consequently, an unending war. Separated into several tribes, yearly portions of its inhabitants were eliminated and ethnic groups vanished while others have oppositely risen to be feared by the industrialized reigns in the North Continent.

Grown in order to have startled the world, the Children of Qualala increased through several decades and encompassed manifold tribes, obtaining the overwhelming territory of practically half the continent and over one hundred thousand adherents. In the Catfolkian culture, Qualala is the goddess of creation and universe, concluding they are the actual descendants of her, or even demigods, or the followers of the good. However, rather than have beneficial relationship with its opponents, as an actual follower of good should have, the Qualalians (official term for these that follows the clan) often oppressed and plundered its naysayers, until very few of them remained to tell the tales.

These that managed to survive progressed on combating the empire by creating the rebel group Fighters Against Mutual Enemy (F.A.M.E.), appealing for King Alteon's help to protect themselves. The King, gorged into dramatic battles against Sepulchure's rising evil, demanded for his General, Lionfang, to find a solution for the southerner issues. This solved the problem by invoking all heroes of Lore and performed auditions, only to choose the seven best that were combined into an elite team. They were virtuously trained and, with the general's seal of approval, dispatched towards the South Continent.

Possessing a undefeatable reputation under the south region, they have officiated the entire continent as part of their territory. As no-one dared to counter their wishes, fearing reprisal, the South Continent was legally under the jurisdiction and domain of the Children of Qualala, who formalized their statute as an Empire, and they named their territory - Qualalia. For this reason, the harbors in Qualalia were all under authority of the Children of Qualalia, who strictly controlled them and wouldn't allow in any form allies of opposition. Furthermore, FAME was obliged to act beneath the sheets and create a clandestine port so the reinforcements could dock safely. Lionfang's protection took a long time anyway, and the rebels had a hard time to conceal it from the Qualalians scout patrols.

After several weeks, the FAME sentinels spotted, in the horizon, a small vessel approaching the port. They telepathically conversed with the crew and ensured they were, in fact, the soldiers that Lionfang promised. However, as closer they were to the anchorage, the rebels began to ponder ... are even they enough to defeat Children of Qualala's empire of terror in ascension?

Hopefully.
