I went around asking random people that have little or no stars about why haven't they been collecting the cheevos. The majority of them told me that it's useless and waste of time. This can be compared to the token system in a way. Useless currency(Which I had a hobby of collecting) compared to useless cheevo points.

That's basically giving paid players an advantage, seeing how many cheevos are now rare and required you to spend money too. It's meant to be for sake of showing off, nothing else. We don't need a trivial feature to skew balance.

rating points are purely show off , it should not have any in-game advantage.

the last thing we'd want to see is someone having an advantage for having more chevos.

At my level with my 2 blue stars (equal to 9 yellow stars), I would have an excess of skill points. There are some skills I don't want at high levels because of the EP cost, and there are some which I don't want to be disabled by the Pyro Fly. As it is, I'm already dumping spare points (around 3 of them) into Blood Shield, Field Commander and Frenzy. I think I wouldn't want so many skill points.

Rating points are to show off, if giving Skill points with them this would benefit those who have blue stars and give advantages to them (As said by DarkDevil)

Plus I don't think this is a good to builds since I follow my skill tree with certain level skills, meaning this would harm builds in a way by forcing them to put points into skills they don't want upgraded and having to use it on a skill they don't need.
As in, example we get 1 Skill point per star, at max we would get 56 skill points (Correct me if im wrong)(28 Yellow stars total, plus a total of 28 blue stars, going up by one each time starting at 1, going up to 7, both for yellow and blue. Correct me if I am wrong) All in all that is 56 total more skills points.
Plus as we hit each level we gain 1 + skill point, so since the cap is 40, we get 40 skill points when we hit the max level cap, so that adds up to 96 skill points in a 12 slot skill tree.
Leaving only 3 Skills to split between the 6 skill points while the rest are max to 10 unless you focus your three main skills first then just blow the rest on useless skills.

^Actually you get 7 yellow stars (max), then they reset to 1 blue star.

So it's like:

1 yellow, 2 yellow, 3 yellow ... 7 yellow, 1 blue, 2 blue, 3 blue, etc.

Specific to this suggestion, the OP is saying that a person with 2 blue stars will get 8-9 more skill points, which I feel is rather unnecessary.

@Jekyll
Which proves my point that it will overfill the skill tree since, yes it may reset but we keep the skill points we got from the yellow stars which would be very unnecessary and I bet I can tell you and allot of others (Like me) focus on only two to four skills on the skill tree.

No, stars don't reset back to yellow once you get 1 blue one. You can't have 7 yellow, 1 blue for example.

We get 1 point for 1 yellow star --> 7 points for max yellow stars
Next, we get 1 point for 1 blue star --> 7 points for max blue stars

We can never get 28 yellow stars and 28 blue stars.

Oh I see, thanks for correction, sorry half asleep and sick right now not thinking right. But its still true that it will still be bad for the skill tree.

Yes, I agree that too many skill points will eventually result in many skills at MAX. That's also why 40 is now the permanent level cap.

What about stat points?

No, because it affects balance. It's a trivial feature that gives unfair advantage for older players for no reason or whatsoever.

To add on to what trans said

There are also players complaining about having too many stat points as well. Image a players surprise when they get (Insert # here) more stat points due to their stars.

I myself would get 10 extra stat points due to this change since I have 3 blue stars (one blue star = 8th star so 3 blue stars = 10th normal star) and even though I am not at the level cap yet these extra points would be a burden to my build due to the energy restriction we have now.
