I'm not sure to what extent the filter has been relaxed for 1v1/2v2, but I don't think the filter is relevant any longer from a gameplay perspective since we've started War 2.0 From a storyline perspective, I don't see how 'it doesn't make sense that players are fighting their own alignment' is a compelling argument when we consider that the duelling system can hardly be considered a war in itself - two players teleport to an enclosed area to gain rewards upon victory, with the loser not only not suffering any significant injury, but also gaining consolation prizes. Does this sound like an attempt to annihilate another alignment? The filter is, from either perspective, superseded and should be removed to cut waiting times.
