All I am asking is that you remove stun grenade from tlm and replace it with maul. The reason for this being is that stun grenade is currently one of those skills on tlm that is massively underused and the only reason to use the Merc Primary weapon is for Atom Smash (Which I think is an amazing skill).

Don't get me wrong, the no weapon requirement isn't bad but for tlm it seems as if Stun Grenade can actually have an influence on the match if:
1) you get lucky
2) your partner is a bh with a smoke good enough to lower your opponents defense so you can actually do enough dmg to compensate the amount of energy you used to use stun grenade
3) youre using Dex-build on tlm.

Two of those options run on chance and the other doesn't sound bad but why would you want to spam stun grenade, poison, atom smash and heal when most of us are already complaining about dex mages? Besides, the poison effect has nothing on the mage Stun/Multi combo.

The way I see it if you give tlms Maul it wont be a Nerf, it will be a buff. I like the idea of having these guys shoot grenades but if thats the case then give them a Grenade form of maul that scales with str because this is a str based class. Double strike, field commander, frenzy, atom smasher, etc but the way it is now there id no encouragement to use a mace with this class.

as much as i use to like maul i have to say not supported and this is coming from a tlm. I actually like stun grenade.
str has frenzy posion and double strike plus field commander and atomic smash
dex has mineral armor and grenade
tech has blood shield and ss
support has multi
so i have to disagree leave grenade as is.
but if you think the energy cost needs a nerf or dmg needs a slight buff to progression then i would support that.
not to long ago double strike got a reduced energy cost so that helped on the str side of the class.

I personally think that stun grenade and plasma grande need a damage and cost reduction buff.

Or perhaps increase the dex scaling so dex spam builds can be used again and we will see more variety.

I don't agree with this. TLM already has way to many moves that work off strength as it is. The original reason they removed maul and gave stun grenade was to nerf strength builds with TLM. Doing this will make even less variety for TLM due to even more moves being powered by strength.

Hi The berserker killer,

Since this is a balance suggestion about a Tactical Mercenary skill, it should be discussed in the =ED= Official Tactical Mercenary Balance Discussion Thread.

Thread locked.
