Bloodmage is a great class but there's no reason as to why everyone should have to use a sword in order for this class to even be usable. What I recommend is replacing the skill fireball, one of the only useless skills unless you have 1 or 2 builds that you haven't shared. The skill I am suggesting is "Flame Fury", a skill which, based on its level, will take X amount of hp from the user in order to increase his or her mp and eradicate all current cooldown effects. The skill still goes into cooldown after usage though. Only accessible with a staff. Guide: Lvl 1- 20 hp for 10% increase in max Energy Lvl 2- 30 hp for 15% increase in max Energy Lvl 3- 40hp for 20% increase in max Energy Lvl 4- 50 hp for 25% increase in max Energy Lvl 5- 60 hp for 30% increase in max Energy Lvl 6- 70 hp for 35% increase in max Energy Lvl 7- 80 hp for 40% increase in max Energy Lvl 8- 90 hp for 45% increase in max Energy Lvl 9- 100 hp for 50% increase in Energy Lvl 10- 110 hp for 55% increase in Energy The skill will take said amount of hp for 3 full turns (meaning at Max it will take 330 hp each turn, beginning the turn after its casted). Now this may seem a bit unfair, however all of your skills will become usable, therefore allowing you the possibility to use Medic after the 3 turns are up in order to replenish your health. Total effect: Staff blood mages can now be effective in the game
