Simple: decreasing the amount of experience and credits gained after consecutive losses.

1st loss: 7 experience points
2nd loss in a row: 5 experience points
3rd loss in a row: 3 experience points
4th loss in a row: 1 experience point
5th loss in a row (or more): 0 experience points

I really don't think someone will have the nerve to login again after few losses and resume the losses spree.

This way not even captcha is needed anymore.

It should be more than enough to stop loss hunters.

I can imagine this feature being really bad for new players.

Sometimes I see them get stuck with low credits and having to continue their poor build to then either retrain or level up.

This would put them strongly off the game if they couldn't level up to try new things at a decent speed.

It is a decent concept however.

I like your idea but I cant support it for a few reasons. I love players who intentionally lose and most of these players intentionally lose because at their level or rank its nearly impossible to win.

Sidenote: I just had a lvl 40 with 2k energy say to me "Quick loss build. I get 21 xp a minute" which, compared to me, I get 12 xp nearly every minute and a half for winning....Maybe we shouldget more xp for winning

^ Yes and that lv40 was me.

I could win now if I tried but there there no real disadvantage in losing. However when I was lv38 it was so my only way out (and yes I did also NPC), so I guess the habit stuck.

No one should rely on losses as a source of experience. That is what botters do. If someone loses too much, he should switch to Npc-ing. So that is not a valid reason.

That would really discourage people from playing, and I think the game already has enough trouble attracting players.

No one should rely on losses but a fourth of the current population does.... Lol even I do

Well, in this case I am happy this thread has revealed much more serious issues in the game than simply botting. The fact that people DO rely on losses, or simply accept them.

In this case, more exp should be indeed awarded for winning battles and for winning against NPCs. Perhaps winning streaks should award increased experience - the more wins in a row, the more exp people should receive after a win.

But loss hunts should nevertheless be discouraged, otherwise all competitiveness is gone - high rank lv40s will be fed quick wins from those losers, and true faction competition will still be down.

Therefore my suggestion is still valid as an option for it.

If they increase experience/credits from NPCs, fine. But using them for farming currently is awful. I would be happy to use them instead of fighting players that put all their points into health and strength yet barely get blocked or deflected. Not many people are using losing as a way to get experience/credits, but giving some to people who unintentionally lose is a way to encourage them. The game would be very dead if you got no experience for losing; putting your time and effort into something that yields no results is not fun. This will definitely drive away future players because they are unfamiliar with the game and cannot progress in terms of experience or credits since they lose so often.

Sometimes people are forced to,

If you are short on credits it can be very hard to get stuck out of a poor build.

And you can't say switching to NPCs is a valid reason.

That's like saying, oh your stuck. Now you can't enjoy the game for a bit till you farm NPCs the the next level, THATS IF, their build can actually beat NPCs. Who knows maybe newer players find some NPCs tricky to beat.

Not supported. Everyone doesn't lose on purpose and with the small player base and even smaller variety within the game this will force players who aren't exprerienced as some to use sheep builds or NPC to avoid this.

why not have a penalty for getting reported for cheating ehh 5 times in 1 hour. which pulls back all the credits and exp you recieved in that past hour.

I get reported a ton, so do many other high rankers so I feel as if that would be unfair

@king altoen

Like regular reports, those still need to be looked into. Otherwise you can have a bunch of people report and lie about any person cheating, then getting them rolled back over and over again.

Strongly against it.
I have a high rank, while in 1v1 it aids me, but in 2v2 it fails me horribly, as you know highest rank will be paired with lowest rank in battle, and chances of someone having higher rank than me in 2v2 is really low , so I end up mostly with 36-39 vs two 40's, which in turn results in loss mostly.

Every single fight in the game results in a loss for somebody. I don't think it's fair to punish people who are on a losing streak, just to discourage a small group who are gaming the system.
