Update Change Log
Cysero | Monday, December 21, 2015

What changed in today's BIG Update?

What Changed?

Here's a quick run through of the changes that came in today's big update.

- Maxx level raised to 12

- You'll notice a lot of new NPCs in the game with lots of new quests to do, starting to introduce the stories of each area.

- The Bonecliffs has been opened (/jojn Doomwoodgraveyard)

- Shatterskull Bridge has opened (/join Doomwoodtower)

- Warlic's Shop is open

- Cysero's Forge is now open

- Gax now sells black market items

- Class Trainers Hall now open

- New enemy mobs added to many areas (GateWraith, Cave Sneevil, Gargoyle etc)

- New Items added all over the game

- Main Player camera and perspective tweaked

- We have completed our transition from Unity 4.6 to Unity 5. This is what caused most of the delays and took the most time as it caused hundreds of new bugs but was necessary for the survival of the game as Unity will be dropping support for Unity 4. It also lets us leverage their new lighting system for deeper and more realistic lighting effects and reflected light and made porting to Windows10/Windows Mobile much simpler.

- Enemy mob stats now reset on exiting combat

- AutoAttack spam message removed

- Fixed cast cancellation due to autoattack

- Castbar timing synchronization improved

- Added respawn timer to all interactive objects (sparkly clickies like things you gather or place in some quests)

- Update Options UI with a few new options

- Bug fix causing spells to get stuck mid-cast when casting from the very edge of castable range

- Font and User interface updates (more noticeable on mobile builds)

- Buffs no longer stack on death

- Buffs now reset on class swap

- Enemy stats (power, level, rewards etc) tweaked across entire game

- XP curve implemented up to level 15

- Gold curve implemented

- Enemy Mob collider is disabled after death (should make clicking the loot box easier)

- Inventory list does not reset when you equip/unequip

- You can no longer equip items that are above your level

- Gold amount in inventory now displays correctly

- Enemy mob aggro radius tweaked

- Fixed bug causing robe to load incorrectly

- Badge restricted shop functionality added to game engine (so you can only open some shops if you earn a certain achievement)

- Micro-currency log added in anticipation of micro-currency release

- Spell effects cleaned up

- Cleaned server selection screen user interface

- Nameplate now updates with current level when you level up

- Level Up text color changed to gold-ish

- Excess XP rolls over to your next level when you level up

- All quests can now properly be abandoned

- Y axis offset added on enemy mob spawns (so they don't spawn stuck in the ground)

- Mana shield effect duration changed

- Placeholder Character Creation color customization User interface added

- Server now handles and saves color customization selections

- Integrated Unity's Mechanim system for better motion blending and other animation improvements

- Bug Fix: Items no longer randomly vanish from your inventory

- Bug Fix: All Greenguard trees now clickable

So, you can see that we've been pretty busy while all the Kickstarter craziness has been going on. Sorry this update has taken so long but now that we've moved to Unity 5.3 we hope that you'll see smaller updates more often!

Remember that we have added the ability to pre-purchase Kickstarter package through Paypal, Artix Points and hundreds of other options!

Azan's note: Would have merged this with the other DNs from Monday, but together they seemed so image-heavy I thought it best to post them separately. I'll take note if it's okay to post them together.

It's looking a lot like a medieval Wildstar.
(not a bad thing, it's actually really good as AE is an indie company and CS branched off from WoW).

Let's just hope they keep up the amount of side-quests like this.

All we need now is Artix to keep his promise about revamping the combat (for the good) and adding a better teleport system instead of /join

Legendary AK!

I've noticed that in all quests descriptions, apostrophes have been replaced by question marks.

Apart from that, I'm really enjoying the update. Lots of stuff to do, lots of new items, and every time I look at the game, I like the art a bit more.

EDIT: Didn't happen to me, but I saw a few players complaining that, upon disconnecting, the game reset their quest progress/exp bar. Might need to be looked at.

I just backed this game just right now. Can we play this on our mobile devices?
