Buff Delta Knight and delta weapons, Platinum's pride, Omega weapons, Gamma bot, Frost weapons and Azrael rare gear.

Delta knight Curse - Permanently reduces your opponent's support by 10%.

Delta Weapons Curse - Active ----> Passive -----> Reduces your opponent's support by 20% for 3 turns every time they critical you.

Platinum's Pride - 85% Damage -----> Back to 100% since strength builds are useless now.

Omega weapons' passive core - +10 damage for Omega Baby Yetis -----> +10 damage for all robots and +20 for Omega Baby Yetis.

Gamma bot special - 105% -----> 107% and now counts just like IA (From RNG).

Frost weapons (Including the mutating weapons and Frost Bane) - Their frost shards is now unblockable and their passive core now gives 10 additional damage to normal strikes and still has the same affect against George Lowe.

The rare Azrael gear (Including the Azrael sword and mutating weapons) - 5% critical chance -----> 6%.

Edit:

Why?

Because people who have them aren't using them because they are horrible and they can make you lose instead of making you win.
Those who have these rares shall use them not just keep them for the rarity score or the look.

No. Not all rares, only ones with cores. We can't buff coreless rares.

That is a poor reason. What are they supposed to tell the people who have none of those items?

You buff them by giving them a core.

In fact, giving them a core would just make them weaker.

Nothing at all that buff isn't even going to affect the battles so much.
Plus, I'm one of those who don't have these weapons. I only have the omega weapons and platinum's pride and trust me I would never use Platinum's Pride even if it gets buffed because strength builds are really bad.

Majestic Feline of AQ3D & ED

This was a problem before when some rare items were repeatedly getting buffed, so the staff decided to not buff rare items anymore:
quote:

=ED= Rare Items Policy

The game staff have come to a decision regarding the handling of buffs on rare items.

As a general rule, no buffs will be granted to rare items. This is regardless of their status as Limited, Seasonal, Promotional, etc. In order to achieve a more balanced system of play, buffs cannot be guaranteed or handed out on a regular basis. This policy has been decided by the game staff and is not likely to change. However, if you feel that your case is especially strong, that is, you have numbers and evidence to support your conclusions, you are welcome to contact the game staff using this forum's PM system to discuss it more thoroughly. Keep in mind that the game staff cannot promise that your case will be followed through upon, as the game's balance will take precedence over personal requests for the sake of all of the game's vast player base.

In regards to this discussion forum, you are still permitted to discuss buffs to rare items, but these discussions must be placed within the appropriate thread: Balance Suggestions. Discussions outside of that thread will be deleted and asked to be moved where they belong.

Thank you all for your consideration of the rules, and please keep them in mind when posting!

Buffing old rares will indeed increase variety (not that high since not many veterans who own such items are left) with minimum effort, few tweaks here and there (like buffing Gamma Bot's damage from 105% to 107%). Same goes to most tweaks mentioned in OP or mentioned before, they will indeed encourage many players who own such gear to use them, and that will ofcourse increase variety (We will see less IA being used for example if Gamma bot gets buffed).

Such tweaks are easier than making cores from scratch, but in the end, that doesn't make up as a good excuse to buff them, since in the end most players nowadays are eagerly waiting for something new (old and new players). Maybe when devs decide to make new cores and create new content for all players, they can take a look back at rare and ultra-rare items which are owned by few.

the fact that about 5 - 10 % of ed population now have such weapons so yeah I encourage it a lot since it will indeed bring more variety and might bring old players to a slight chance but deserves a take look at ... maybe give old ultra rare coreless weapons some useful cores to such as alpha beta founder eggzookas bunny ones maybe good idea overall @nowras

Taking into account the current active population of EpicDuel this suggestion will simply not be effective as one may expect it to be. Many players do not have the items listed meaning it really won't increase variety due to only a small amount of players having access to these items. This suggestion will only benefit the very minority of players, having no real effect and contribution towards balance or supposed variety. Improvement will come from suggestions that effect the majority rather than the questionable minority; considering our on-going situation we need suggestions to benefit most if not all players. Buffing ultra-/rare items will not have even a tiny impact towards improving this game, balance or variety wise.

About old players returning simply because ultra rare items were buffed doesn't sound all too plausible. It's not as if old players left because they were unable to win battles or rares were taking up their inventory space, there were many reasons to why people left. Adding or buffing cores to old items will not bring many if any old players back. There are some veterans who left with the intent and declaration of no return, and I am certain most will not be coming back to merely check out useless and ineffective buffed cores. Even if a new core were to be introduced allowing them to win every battle, it will still fail to attract interest of old and already-departed players. This suggestion if it were to be implemented will turn out rather fruitless and unproductive and only prove to be a waste of precious time for the developers.

Yea true, but, also, buffing them would just take a few minutes of the devs time.
