Wasn't sure which forum to put it in, but...

I see people asking about how battle mechanics work all the time. So, I tried to think of everything that might be important to know and put it into one document. Most of it should be accurate. Not 100% sure though.

I think you got some formulas mixed up. Just try to make some test calculations, by using your first strike, crit and stun formulas.

Here are the correct formulas.
First strike: your % chance to go first = 50% + ((your Support - opponent's Support) * 1.5%) + ((opponent's Level - your Level) * 5%)
Critical Strike: your % chance to Critical Strike = 4 + (your Support – opponent's Support) / 7.5
Stun: your % chance to Stun = Base Stun chance - (opponent's Support – your Support) / 4

You should also run some test calculations through the rage formulas, to make sure that they are ok. They seem a bit off to me, but I just don't feel like getting into them right now.

Am I missing something? The formulas on my guide look exactly the same as the ones you just listed.

Yours
your % chance to Stun = Base Stun chance - (opponent's Support – your Support / 4)
your % chance to Critical Strike = 4 + (your Support – opponent's Support / 7.5)
your % chance to go first in 1v1 = 0.5 + ((your Support - opponent's Support) * 0.015) + ((your Level - opponent's Level) * 0.05)

Mine
First strike: your % chance to go first = 50% + ((your Support - opponent's Support) * 1.5%) + ((opponent's Level - your Level) * 5%)
Critical Strike: your % chance to Critical Strike = 4 + (your Support – opponent's Support) / 7.5
Stun: your % chance to Stun = Base Stun chance - (opponent's Support – your Support) / 4

You can also write the first strike formula like this if you wish to: your % chance to go first = 50% + ((your Support - opponent's Support) * 1.5%) + (-1 * (your Level - opponent's Level) * 5%)

First strike isn't fully support. Ranks also affect it, another reason to remove them really.

Thanks a ton for pointing out the syntax errors. I know how the formulas work in my head, but when I go and write them down it does tend to get mixed up like that. When you said I mixed them up, I thought you were referring to the numbers not the syntax, so I only skimmed the formulas without actually comparing them side by side. If I had actually plugged the numbers to see like you suggested, I would have caught the errors. I must look pretty dumb now! It should be fixed now though.
