Bring Back PvP Drops

Who remembers playing in Delta and receive PvP drops such as broken weapons, rusted items, a bike (forgot the name), and even a rusted assault bot. I’m suggesting to bring back PvP Drops, but this time when you receive a weapons from the drops to be able to upgrade it fully for 100 credits rather than an insane amount of credits especially for a drop.

This will cause players to maybe play a little more (of course if balance is fixed too, especially if passives return) cause I mean who doesn’t like free stuff, of course add a percent rate of drop lower than 5%, unless you’re a socialist, but I’m suggesting mostly since it gives you a sense of nostalgia

That’s a good point you made there.

Whoops I just realized I didn’t specify about the drops, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be rusted weapons, but can be 25x Active/Passive Cores, or Weapons which can be sold for 1,000 credits or be fully upgraded for 100 Credits.

You might wonder why such suggestion, so I can have a chance to get drops on my alts and give new players slight an advantage

It’s likely I’ll sell these weapons if such thing is implemented, but I mean that’s few extra credits

I believe the reasoning against battle drops would be that the arcade is suppose to be a substitute for battle drops.

Perhaps instead of battle drops like guns,cores and the like, we should be able to win arcade tokens from battles that have a low drop chance.
It might even get people to battle more?

Difference is Arcade Token don't drop from battle, do they? Of course they do... in my dreams.

Well if they can drop, wouldn't be a bad implement really.

they used to give battle tokens before they removed them every time you won a battle, but as for some of the drops you mentioned the rusted items are in one of the newer arcades, and the rusted assault bot was brought back, and buffed into the Assault bot P.

 I think for them to return, they need to serve some sort of a purpose. In my opinion drops were good for those new to the game and did not have much in the way of disposable credits to spend on gear, upgrading and such. So getting a drop of a weapon would see them through for quite a while without any downside, although not visually appealing to some, it was better that having nothing at all.

Yes you can sell them, but how much would be too much? Granted rusty items do not sell for much at all but for something to exist in any sense in needs some value at least. I am not sure which rusted items are in which Arcade though since it has been a while since I have seen/used them.

A great idea though, from my perspective.

What about dropping tokens? ForsakenDemon says that Arcade replace drops from battles. Well, then you might get arcade tokens as drops instead.
If you think about it, its a good way to make people play. The only way to get tokens is buying them with varium, missions, gifts or codes. Free players doesn't have its own way to get them since they depend on varium players.

Also this will make people go hard to try to get them, since this would be the only free way to get them. Moreover there are a lot of arcades and levels to use those tokens. What I mean with this is that you can earn a lot of tokens on pvps and they will be usseful even though you get a big ammount of them, there are a lot of manchines, achivements and levels where you can use them. If you remember rusted weapones where always sold, sure most of people sold them to get credits and just a few of them might have fixed them.
The drops could be something like this:

1 token 15%.
2 tokens 10%.
10 tokens 3%.
50 or 25 tokens 1%.

as it is right now as much as I love the idea of this happening I would have to say no. The bot problem is still here and with them almost always getting away with it if this happened bots would be getting rewarded every time they receive a PVP drop. It was because of bots that sell back prices of items, as well as losing EXP and credits in battles took a nerf and until these bots are put out of commission I couldn't support adding this.

Well perhaps those drops can only be got from 1v1 and 2v2 since jugg is not PvP is just PvNpc. I don't know if NW can only allow drops on jugg when you battle 2 players, so I would just say not to give drops in jugg. At least till is not possible to bot.

In 2v2 there aren't botters, and I think in 1v1 neither, I am not sure about that. However, in 1v1 is quite easy to defeat a bot.

I would really like to have this idea implemented, it will really refresh PvPs and make players go hard for it.

The only problem I see is war drops. We have never got 2 drops from a battle and all screen should be changed when you finally get 2 drops.

I don't think people botting is a reason to not implement arcade tokens dropping from battles. I mean, how does that take away the fun away from those that actually play?

I see a lot of suggestions get shut down because of reasoning along the lines of "Well, with the current botting situation there is no way we can implement that".
Nobody seems to have good ideas on how to stop botters so why not just live with it and implement suggestion like token drops even if the bots would benefit from it. Because
apparently botting is impossible to stop and will never be stopped.

And if it means anything, maybe just let the tokens drop from 1v1 and 2v2 like racing.lo.mas suggested it should.

While it doesn't it also rewards people for cheating the system, and it was also the reason why many of the older perks were either nerfed or removed as I posted prior. Also every battle mode at one point or another is bottable thanks the NPC's lingering at the lower to mid levels of each mode. heck even without NPC's 1 vs 1 was and is still bottable at all levels of play. it is just that juggernaut is botted more because the opponents faced (unless the off chance you get a smart human opponent/s) are brainless NPC's Vs 1 vs 1 now where the opponents if smart and have the correct build can clobber the bots.

Last thing you want is bots with 1000 ranks, 17 million credits, and 7 regal stars.

People can bot on 1v1 or 2v2 but they won't win, you know it, there is no way to win. So if you don't win you won't get any token. Im wrong or Im missing something?

They aren't that legit.. they are fighting npc as it was PvP.

@Mother1 The botters are already rewarded for cheating the system. Every battle won gives them credits,exp and probs a place on lb for their faction. What other reason is there to bot?
I don't think adding token drops will bring in a new wave of botters mostly because what are you really going to do with 2-7 arcade tokens? Win the Golden yeti and start pwning everyone?
It's rare to get a silver prize much less a golden one.

It seems as though anything we suggest adding to make people wanna play pvp will automatically incentivize botters to keep botting and bring in new botters. I'm not sure if this suggestion will do that, especially if we
only allow the drops to happen in 1v1 and 2v2. Or only have them drop when playing against at least one human player.

Everytime I log into the forums, I always hear the issue of botting, but yet I see little to no proposed solutions. Honestly the best way to deal with botting is if we bring back the captcha we had in previous phases.

Back to the topic of Battle Tokens, I personally never liked the idea of just buying achievements with just credits, similar to how items have a credit or varium, why not be able to buy achievements with either Credits, Battle Tokens, and Varium.

Another way we can use battle tokens as an addition, is if we could buy certain cores only available to active players with Battle Tokens.

For each battle, you should be guaranteed at least one battle token

Well will this be a reason to not add something that can make people play?
I honestly don't understand how this work... Jugg is free boting and it has never been fixed, never disabled, never took out npcs, nothing at all. Just a few, a very few players really play jugg without boting, and that's enough reason for keeping this npc system? We have people who made 100k jugg wins by this mode and nothing was done.. Ok.. Now we got an idea which will benefit honest players rather than botters and you don't want it. There's no way to benefit botters if it's not added to jugg, that simple.
This won't ruin the game as jugg did and it has more advantages than disadvantages.

Do you actually preffer "not to give more advantage to botters"? They have already what they want.. free wins for record (all botters might have 90% win rate), credits (you get about 70 by win then 70*10k =700k) , influence..what else? achivements since they have already earn the max rank, upgraded war achivements and have credits to increase some payed achievements too.

They already have all the things a player might play for. It's up to you to get something that can bring some "fun" to this game.. or at least one reason to play which botters won't be able to spam.

@racing.lo.mas @melinalowks I propose the captcha we had previously in the older phases. But this time, doing captcha's once in a while or once every 10 battles, in which I believe won't solve the botting problem, but certainly lower the population of botters. That's a better solution than of course compared to doing nothing. This is my view, and personally I think it's up to the Devs how they will resolve this issue.
