Hey. I'll be moving to the UK soon. I was wondering if there was a way of getting the AQ Upgrade cards there, and if so, where?
I previously got a starcaptainship and DA on the respective games, and I'm looking to getting the full DMK Set for DF.

I'd rather go through the route of using the upgrade cards like I did earlier.

So... Yeah.
Are the cards available in the UK?
Where can I get them (and at what price if possible please)?

Thank you! :D

I live in Devon, and have never seen an AE Upgrade card on sale in the UK. Gift cards (such as game upgrade cards) are often sold near the checkouts at supermarkets, and for all my years of looking, I've never once seen them on sale there. RuneScape, WoW, Club Penguin, Roblox - I've seen those on sale, but never an AE Upgrade card.

Might be that AE never had them sent to the UK - I'm not sure what their fanbase is like for DF, but in AQW I mainly met US-, Filipino-, and South America-based players. A couple of European players, but no more than 10. Assuming it's the same distribution for their other games, the cards may never have been shipped here as it wasn't worth the expense of shipping them.

However - I've had a look around on the Forums, and it seems that you can order cards from BestBuy and Target, and have them shipped to your home country (if they're able to do that, apparently its possible from this thread).

I've (or my parents when I was younger) used PayPal for their transactions with AE and never had an issue with the transaction (an order got lost prior to distribution with HeroMart one time but that was rectified), so you could always do that.

EDIT: Sorry chap, looks like you're all out of luck - AE cards are no longer available in the UK - if the message doesn't show on the site due to your location, I've got a screen capture posted here. Like I said, PayPal has worked fine for me.

Make the most of the British countryside while you're here!

One thing they do have in the UK is Subway fast food restaurants, and their gift cards can be used to buy Artix Points which you can then use for any AE upgrades.

@above:
According to the Artix Cards website, AE are only partnered with US branches of Subway. The Subway UK site doesn't list Artix Entertainment games under the 'What can I redeem my SubcardŽ loyalty points for?' subheading so I wouldn't take this as gospel.

However, I personally don't own a Subcard so I can't say with certainty that you can't redeem Subcard Points from the UK on AE games.

It's worth a shot, but going on the information available I wouldn't put money on it being possible.

EDIT:
According to a tweet by Captain Rhubarb, the Subway Points can only be redeemed in the US and Canada. Further, this Twitter thread implies that the Subway partnership may be coming to an end in 2019.
