Hi, I am wondering if it is possible to solo Desolich for the steadfast will quest?
I have tried a few times with void highlord and cant make a dent in his hp bar.

You would need to be slightly more defensive, aka. be in Shackle mode more often and for longer, but if you have the patience to sit for about half an hour or more (boostless), it's a pretty easy solo to do. He does below 2k on hit which is a lot lower than any dangerous threshold for VHL. He is also able to be stunned, which makes the fight even more trivial than it already is, it's mostly just a test of patience.

You can solo him in Unshackled mode as well. Using (Evolved) Dragon Blade on top of a general damage-boosting Cape/Helm/Armor such as the Doomlord items helps as their boosts can stack, particularly since healing from Highlord's Gaze is proportionate to the amount of damage you deal.
