Welcome back! First things first, if you haven't checked out the AQ Wiki yet, you should do so. It has loads of helpful info on the best equipment, strategies and formulas for playing optimally. Hybrids are perfectly viable (my main is a hybrid), and you have a few options to choose from. Classic Hybrid with endgame stats of 250 STR/INT/DEX or Modern Hybrid 250 STR/INT/LUK. Depending on what you prefer, either works, although if you are going modern, it is generally recommended that you stick to the werepyre armors. If you aren't up to date, the vamp/werewolf/werepyre subraces have all been updated with new abilities and equipment. In the werepyre armors, you can use STR/INT as bonuses for stat damage & BTH in place of DEX, so you won't be missing out on accuracy. Once you become a werepyre, you'll automatically get a 9th armor slot (basically a 2nd no drop armor) with the werepyre form. You can purchase the 3 other forms as well, and since all have dual element resists, you can cover all 8 elements in just those 4 armors and have an additional 4 slots for whatever armors you'd like. The werepyre forms also boost magic weapons to equal damage as their melee counterparts, so you could feasibly use all magic weapons if you want. Ranged weapons will mostly be out of the question, but that isn't a problem so long as you aren't attached to them for whatever reason. It should be noted that if you'd rather not spend actual money on z token packages (mainly referring to Dunamis & Thernda), then I would recommend you stick to a magic weapon setup. This way, you can get double Poelala for maximum damage boosting of all your magic attacks. If you'd rather have more variety in your armors, you can also go for the classic hybrid. In this case, it would be advised to have a melee weapon setup, as you'll be missing out on some damage with magic weapons. It should also be noted that many of your armor skills will do ranged damage, so a combination of Dunamis and Thernda (melee and ranged booster pets) will be needed if you want maximum damage output, both of which cost real money. Obviously you can forgo these, you'll just be missing out on a lot of potential damage. This is important as the majority of your attacks and damage will come from armor skills, if you plan to play what is considered meta. Of course, you can pick whatever build you want, with mages and warriors being the two most common builds. It's generally agreed that (pure) mages are the most versatile and powerful build, but all are feasible in the end game and have their own perks. Your endgame stats should ideally be 250 for 3 stats of your choice, as this provides the most optimal design, barring END, which is considered to be largely irrelevant at this point. Once you decide what build you are going for, the community can give you better advice for your equipment. If you go to your account manager [battleon.com --> manage your account --> character list --> upgrade inventory], you can upgrade a lot of your equipment for the proper gold cost, so long as you are a high enough level. You can switch your no drop AWE!!! gear to Ultra!!! if you want a fully offensive no drop armor, but in the endgame the Awe/Ultra no drops are generally not used, as they lack an armor skill. If an item is MC (master crafted), this just refers to it getting a small power boost over normal items (non MC) of the same level. Usually, this happens for special items like gift box equipment or the annual mastercraft set. If by "classes" you are referring to the old class armors like Paladin, Knight, Dragonslayer, etc., these are also largely irrelevant in the endgame (hopefully more of these get updated in the future). Speaking of the endgame, if you want to max your character's level quickly, check out the AQ Wiki farming guide. If you have the time (~20min a day), you can go from lv 0 to 150 in about a month.
