Devourer Saga Update - Prologue parts 5-8:
We continue the ongoing project of updating one of Falerin's greatest legends - The Devourer Saga! Adding new challenges with updated tiers and rewards along the way. This release will cover parts 5-8 of the Prologue!

Part 5 - Big Trouble in Little Granemor:
Seeking an antidote for Sage Uldor, you meet the residents of Granemor, whose then-little village is home to the mysterious Moglin Dewlok and the talented alchemist Lucretia.

Part 6 - The Vision:
Open your mind to Sage Uldor's troubling dream: An Orc general is leading an attack that could endanger Battleon!

Part 7 - Dragonstone:
Meet up with Galanoth, the Dragonslayer. After learning that some evil dragons have joined General Bour, he gladly lends you his expertise to lead a preemptive strike!

Part 8 - Into Fangmaw:
After saving Battleon, you team up with Artix von Krieger, to track down recently sighted undead: The Ribbers, consumed by their pursuit of a dark new mystery.

3 May Z-Token Packages:

El Muchacho 4-in-1 weapon is a combination machine gun, flamethrower and rocket launcher - the perfect weapon for any desparado. El Muchacho is so large you can also use it to deflect attacks.

Cast the Una Poca de Gracia Spell to channel the spirit of the legendary bard Valiente! Infused with his boundless charisma, you'll be no sailor - You'll be the Captain!

Spirit of Rejuvenation gives you resistance to Earth attacks and the fortitude to last until Spring (+END)! It also normally gives +10% gold from battles when in your active inventory (top 8 misc item slots), and a +25% boost during May!

 I can't explain how happy I am that there's going to be a "La bamba" song that gives charisma!

My bard is over the moon! Any chance it could come with (non copyrighted) sound effects like the battle muse items? Just a thought ;)

Just jumping in to say while it's great and all that we are getting another Devourer Saga update, a new vold challenge has been ignored for nearly three months.

While I can perfectly understand the long delay time with how many crazy things that are still happening right now, getting any news on this matter from a staff member would be very much appreciated.

We're likely getting the StarSlayer void challenge on May 4th, so hopefully there's a new void challenge coming after that (since StarSlayer sticks around for 1-2 days, from what I've heard). There's also a chance the staff implements the void rotation after StarSlayer; Hollow did mention it might come about in May here.

 The Void rotation update is still coming in May, with a different boss rotating weekly.

So I think I'll do what I did for the last Devourer Saga update.
Part 5: Big Trouble in Little Granemor
Oh man, just being back here brings on the nostalgia. I remember the old Granemor, and this place had atmosphere that I don't think has ever been matched in AQ. Between the rundown buildings, the moon in the night sky, Dewlok standing alone, the sign to Boog's Tavern swinging in the wind, and the rain, Granemor really felt like a dreary place. Lucretia's old art was a surprise, both because I forgot about it and because I have a completely different mental voice for her than her new art. It's good to see E again, I haven't heard his rhymes in forever. Just out of curiosity, when did he become the Avatar of Death, and when did he become Forsaken? Don't know if I'll get an answer, though, this was probably before any of that was thought up.
Oh, wow, I completely forgot about that Giant Zombie fight. Good thing that Giant Ribber ate it. Seriously, 1100 damage in two hits in a dark armor? I was actually a bit scared there.
How exactly would Dewlok hide under the road? It's made of stone and seems to be cemented in.

Part 6: The Vision
I think there were more of these quest options that let you abort quests early back in the day. It's been a really long time since I've seen one. This Orc General isn't that smart if he blabs what he's doing to everyone he comes across.
Confirmed, he's a dummy.

Part 7: Dragonstone
Galanoth kind of reminds me of certain new anime MC: "Wait, I get to kill dragons? I change my mind, I'm in."
Okay, more the Abridged version of that MC: "Wait until nightfall and surprise them, or go charging in now and make them think we're crazy? I prefer the second choice myself."
Wow, he's a strong guest. 400+ damage against lvl 50 and down dragons, 150-200 against the orcs. He's an updated guest, that's why. The lvl 70 Acid Dragons are a surprise, but then again, they're pretty old monsters
Death Roller is a lot stronger during the day. I think it killed me at some point, or at least made for a very hard fight.
There's a lot of black comedy with the orcs. I don't think AQ has had that in a long time.

Part 8: Into Fangmaw
At some point, the player's dialogue box went from "You" to your name, and started moving around. I never liked that. It was annoying.
Is there a connection between Adder's Fangmaw Axe and Fangmaw village?
So the Ribbers come from the West. Connection between this and the West update we're getting this year?

Shouldn't Una Poca de Gracia get some sort of compensation for boosting up CHA instead of a mainstat?

Question about the Z-Token bonus. Does it apply to the tokens you receive when you upgrade to Guardian? I'm looking at upgrading my 4th character.

I recall playing the old version of the Fangmaw quest and finding it the dialogue hilariously awkward for a vampire player character. Will the new version account for that?

Info subs for the Devourer Quest items are out. There is a Ribber pet!

From the looks of it, it is quite powerful, and the MC is quite convenient for the entire saga monsters.

Although the Rogue Ribber pet is in it's new art, somehow for some reason, the Undead Ribbers we fight as well as the one that ate the giant zombie and the one that speaks at Part 8: Into Fangmaw are all in their old arts, and we don't have the option to fight them in their new modernized art.

@Veral77: Not really. I'm more a fan of the Abridged version.
Okay, whatever you do, do NOT use Energy against the Death Roller unless you can get your Darkness resistance down to 2%. I understand that's still possible if you have Head of the Raydius Dragon, but if you don't, spare yourself a lot of frustration and use Ice or Water.

I got one-shotted by the Death Roller's light attack, despite the fact that it typically does dark damage.

 I fall victim to death roller (level 150). Light sp attack caught me by surprise. It was dealing regular darkness attack.

I had 125 END and 100% light resistance. I was very close to full hp before the sp attack.

Do not use energy attacks for this fight (death roller).

Death roller fight second attempt
Death roller sp attack: deal 1571 hp (lucky strike) with 14% light resistance (no misc)
