So I have a Sugar Gobbler and a Mogloween painting. After gathering candy, there is supposed to be a way to give the guest candy in order to boost its attacks. However, I can't for the life of me figure out how to actually feed it after getting some candy. Clicking on it just switches the attack mode, and it doesn't use the candy automatically. How do I feed it?

Click on the candy icon at the bottom of the screen under your HP/MP/SP bar. It's near the area where you can toggle capes and see other items.

Oh, I see. The reason I couldn't find it is because when using Neko armor, the Neko charge icon completely covers the candy icon.
