When doing voltabolts challenge on regular mode, but pressing the extreme button, you get 15000 exp after finishing the quest. but when even after activating hard more i get 15000 exp?

is 15000 exp the cap? or does hard mode not increase exp gains? if so what is the point of hard mode? just to increase the challenge?

Hard mode doesn't increase EXP gains; it's just to make fights more challenging.
