Hello all,

After a long hiatus i'd like having an update to the gear im using, I got a few ztoken packages sets however I feel like my inventory is all sort of messed up. I was wondering if anyone could help me sort things out, what armor I should be using for damage, which weapons are good, good compression shields etc and also if there was some new gear im missing out on. I got a lot of Ztokens so im not against z-token recommendations items or packages even .

Also, I pretty much only use Dunamis guest and pet, I saw that they got changed, are they still worth using if I have no CHA?

My char page is: http://aq.battleon.com/game/flash/charview?temp=6451294

Thank you very much for the help

Welcome back!

Even at 0 Cha, Therndas and Dunamii remain the best pet and guest for an all-melee FO warrior (well, with the exception of more element-specific boosters).

Weapons

I would suggest fire for your no-drop element, mostly because it lacks any exceptional shields.

Keep Kindred for autohit and Zealot's for damage.

If you're up to buying premium packages, Airenal's Lance compresses an armor with the strongest wind skill.

Your Mighty Blade of Frostval Past has great synergy with any ice nuke and SFP.

Terra Bloodzerker Sword is the strongest earth weapon in the game.

Royal Voidrender compresses Harm.

Eclipsed Dragonlord's Might restores a notable amount of sp based on the number of hits dealt. Great synergy with Werewolf's 4-hit Beast Form.

Armors

Blazing Bloodzerker remains the best fire armor. Quenching, Terra and Voltaic variants are also the best for their respective elements.

Horo Show compresses the strongest ice skill.

In case you're unaware, the Paladin class has been revamped, becoming hands down the best light armor in the game. Its stongest nuke (Inner Light > Overwhelming Light) is about as strong as WKZ, and it has a wide range of other skills, toggles and passives to enhance your damage and survivability.

Angel of Souls has a weapon-based darkness skill that costs hp instead of sp.

Shields

Hyper-alphean Skjoldr allows you to auto-block one hit each battle.

Fujin set shield has a Dex toggle, providing a small boost to your accuracy and blocking.

Defender of Frostval Past gives a free qc DefBoost once per battle.

Chieftain's Ironthorn remains the best earth shield for warriors.

Mystic Father Time, the best energy shield, is currently in LTS. Make sure to pick it up.

Generally, people pick up Shieldcake if they can afford the package.

Eclipsed Dragonlord's Will has a qc skill that grants a stacking Barrier effect - great synergy with Purple Rain.

Spells

Pick up Thernda to replace Dunamis on Ranged skills (like Horo Show and LotS). Lightnaut, Necromoglin, Chilly and Ramssy (URs) provide a larger boost, but only to attacks of their own element (energy, darkness, ice, fire).

Runic Binding gives you a Harm nuke.

Purple Rain is the centerpiece of the current meta. It acts as a saving point - cast it once to save your current hp/mp/sp, cast all your quickcast buffs/debuffs - then cast it again to regain all resources spent. Some of the SPells you can use in a Purple Rain loop:

- Your New Year's Surprise

- Invincible Star (great for monsters with Freedom).

- Buffalot Beach Bod (premium). A qc Str boost.

- Imbues change the element of your attack (weapon or weapon-based or old standard skill) to a different one and come with nifty effects. For example, you can use Fire Dragon Talon to shift Horo Show nuke to fire with 50% damage bonus, or use Dragonslayer Aura to deal Void damage against dragons.

- Arms of the Dragonguard (not qc) make your next attack an automatic Lucky Strike.

Pets

Aside from Thernda and Dunamis, there are also Chilly, Ramssy and Necromoglin pets (premium) that boost the damage of your attacks.

Kindred Tranquility. So you Kindred sword has the charges to autohit every turn.

Miscs

Essence Orb, Blood Contract and Helm of Frostval Past cover your basics.

Shadowfeeder Pendant can stack qc celerity - completely broken synergy with Purple Rain and Essence Orb.

Zfinity Gauntlet: Time can 1/battle inflict a qc guaranteed stun.

Zfinity Gauntlet: Power can stack qc EleVulns to boost your damage.

Prime Chaos Orb (UR GGBs) has a qc skill that allows you to scramble monster resists, while boosting the damage it takes.

Bag of Mixed Nuts provides a number of options for any situation.

Hope the info's useful and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions!

Thanks a lot for taking the time to help me out, I really appreciate it!!

I have been trying to get Paladin but the lboss on the last class quest keeps kicking my butt... (The necromancer ring-leader), im using the paladin armor with its shield but he still deals too much damage for me to handle.
I guess ill try to get that one last.

also getting 100 hourglasses is gonna be a pain.. lol. When I reach 100 what do I do to exit? I have to go through a purple portal?

also, do you happen to know the location of the royal voidrender? I cant find it on the forums

In reverse order:

Royal Voidrender comes from Dark Accession (Mage Shop > Quests > Dragonlorn Keep > Prelude: Void Dragon War).

You can return to Death by entering the purple portals the right number of times, but the easier method would be to die or flee.

There are several methods to beat the Ringleader.

- Stun-nuke. Ringleader looses his Freedom if you kill one of the minions, so you can burst down the skeleton, then stun-lock and deal with him at your convenience.

- Defensive. Use your Paladin' Mantra of Alignment to shift to FD lean, use Sacred Paladin weapons to restore hp and make sure to pre-charge Defiance. Using Panic toggle and Blind-inflicting skill can also help a lot.
