Hi Team,

Hope we're all well!

Sorry if this is a banned post. I tried to find the old build x guides as per the pinned posts but unfortunately most of them seem to have been archived.

It's been a solid 8 years since I've last played this game, and I've realized my character is super underpowered for characters above my level (even two levels above is pushing it).

I'm currently a Werepyre Wizard (?) Guardian, level 68, and I was looking for a way to build my character up. My literal only condition is I can't get rid of my vampragon. I've had the guy since I was a kid and at this point it's weirdly sentimental for me. I am however, happy to pop him in my bank (if those are a thing still?)

I also have no idea how to link a character page anymore, since Flash is dead and all, so I've just included a screenshot as an image.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated :)

Well, first of all, I'd say your stats are too diluted. Endgame characters generally have 3 stats maxed out, investing fully into one or two at the lower levels.

I suggest you pick the two that you want, and we'll go from there.

P.S. You can just link your character id - it's fairly easy to check on the launcher.

Hey, thanks for the reply!

So should I invest lightly into the others or just straightup zero them out and absolutely max out the other two?

Zero them out. Having just a few points in a stat brings no tangible benefits.

Just an FYI, Werepyres are now dedicated subrace along with Vampires and Werewolves with their own dedicated armors and skills. Depending on how you want to keep playing going forward, you should probably switch your subrace in order to fully utilize the subrace skills. Basically:

Werepyres: Hybrids
Werewolves: Warriors
Vampires: Mages
Neko: Ranger with Beastmaster characteristics

Unless you know what you're doing, I would not recommend playing as a Werepyre because Hybrids in general require lots of specialized strategies and items to get them to their full potential. If you do insist on remaining a Werepyre, here's a summary post by the Devs on the inner workings of the Werepyre overhaul. You'll basically specialize in STR, INT and LUK to draw out the skill powers.

If you want to switch through, The Cure Quest was updated somewhat recently although the location and path are still the same to get cured.

@ Primate

Thanks heaps! Is there an easier way to untrain or is it still just the un-trainer?

@PD

Dope thanks! I might go for a Werewolf switch since I'm feeling more like building a warrior build now

If you have a house with an estate, you can use the trainers provided there to do mass training and untraining. Otherwise, Sir Pwnsalot is the way.

In addition un training while still not that convenient the normal way can be done faster if you click on Sir pwnsalot’s jaw. He will do massive damage and will usually one shot you, which should speed up your untraining.

Edit: looks like you want to play as warrior. I would start off getting your build to 250 STR DEX LUK in that instance. At your level you might run out of funds from training since training costs a lot of gold early on so don’t forget to do ballywho to supplement your gold income.

One other note - The Adventurequestwiki is generally helpful as a guide of how to play today's game: https://adventurequestwiki.fandom.com/wiki/AdventureQuestWiki_Wiki

It is most up to date with recommendations and information so you'll be able to catch up to the long time you have been gone. Since you say you are going to commit to playing as warrior, you'll generally want to on the Equipment section focus on Warrior tabs on the equipment.

So one other thing I noticed is that you have some Golden Giftboxes that are not yet opened. You should open them now because:

1. As of this post, there's a raffle contest ongoing which you will win a Custom Surfboard weapon of your liking should your ID be drawn.
2. A lot of the strongest equipment are locked behind giftboxes. If you get a Rare or Ultrarare box, you'll be able to increase your power dramatically.

So go to Valencia and claim those boxes! (Click the Golden Giftbox or "What are Golden Giftboxes?") Also remember that you don't have to buy the prize immediately if you get a high tier like Rare or Ultra Rare (you can just exit the shop). You can choose to save it for later (by going to "What's Inside?") and manage your boxes through the account manager: https://account.battleon.com/

Thanks so much for those tips! I've claimed all those boxes and mostly bought alot of XP/Gold, but I bought a few more powerful bits too!

Another question though if I may, does AQ have "bank" storage? I know AQworlds does but I've forgotten a way to store my lower-level but now rare items without having them take up space in my inventory. I mostly just care about my platinum edge haha.

There is in fact. You can acquire more inventory slots to keep equipment that you might need for something later by buying a house. And there's a shared inventory that you can stash equipment in that you're never going to touch or that you want to transfer to another character. You can access both of these things from any shop.

Awesome, thanks!

I just upgraded my house, I'd never even thought of that when I was younger haha.
