So, I just saw that the stat update is here. That means I'm in the middle of changing my build and have a LOT of cleaning up to do.

My three stats are going to be DEX, INT, and either END or LUK, but I'm leaning towards END.

I assume I should change my subrace to Werepyre, but what armors, spells, and miscs should I get? And is Paladin still a good class for a hybrid with those stats?

Character should be in the usual spot.

Thanks.

That's an interesting choice of a build.

Let's see if I can help.

Weapons

I would suggest setting your no-drop element to darkness, as the best weapon costs a UR and the shields are rather generic as well.

Fireheart Vanguard is basically a blood spear, paying hp (negligible for any End build) for +20% damage. Another interesting option is Royal Void Charge, with a Panic-eating skill that has very nice synergy with Werepyre's Terror.

Pike Pike is one of the few remaining weapons to deal +25% damage (at the expense of taking more damage as well).

Haunted Dragonlord's Charge deals slightly less damage, but restores sp based on the number of hits dealt - which has nice synergy with werepyre's 4-hit Beast Form.

You have Merry Lance of Frostval Past in storage. Its qc EleVuln skill can add some pretty hefty damage to your ice nukes.

Gloom Glaive compresses Harm, which is a good idea. That said, Werepyre also has a very strong and cheap Bleed skill in Superior Claw, and if you pick up Fracture Point, you have a very nice build against pretty much any monster.

Keep Thunder Lord's Spear for autohit.

When Blarney comes back, I would heavily advise picking up Alchemical Unity. It toggles to inflict Blind based on damage dealt, which can be outright broken with strong weapon-based skills. Until then, though, you can just use the weapon compressed in Paladin armor and use the free slot to fit in both Gloom Glaive and Fracture Point.

Armors

Awe armors are defensive in nature. UG Leathers would be a better choice for a build with Dex.

Between Transformation no-drop and three werepyre variants, you should have every element already covered in just three slots. Really, with Superior Claw and Fracture Point alone, you should be able to beat pretty much any monster in the game. That would be boring, though, wouldn't it?

Paladin is an amazing class for any build. It is utterly broken against undead, compresses light weapon and booster guest, and has a few other nifty gimmicks you might enjoy like a chargeable ressurection - a must for most Backlash builds.

Horo Show is an old standard armor, which means its ice skill is completely op. Great synergy with Lance of Frostval Past.

Brilhado Necromancer Robes have been adjusted to the new spellcaster lean standard, IIRC, and that gives them nice synergy with Your Soul spell.

Ultimon's Armor can come in handy if you run into any shadow mobs.

Shields

Titan's Fall is an amazing shield for any build with Dex as it has a strong counterattack on block.

Kindred is a fairly nice shield, though Celtic would probably fit better for any spell nukes.

Fujin's Dex drive works great for your build.

Defender of Frostval Past is generally a better choice than Merc's Reflexes, though Horo Show could work nicely as well if you decide to focus on blocking.

Golem Guard toggles for a minor damage reduction.

Mystic Father Time should return sometime around the end of the year. Until then something like Taladosian shield should work fine.

Spells

As a general rule, your armor skills should deal as much if not more damage than any spells you use, though a few might be worth keeping like Sizzler 'Splosion (autohit earth), Spectral Chains (synergy with Lance of Frostval Past) and either Runic Binding or Archmage Research for a harm nuke.

Your Soul Burns Bright as a Beacon deserves a special mention, as it uses End for stats and costs hp - not mp or sp. For an End build the cost is negligible, so it's the easiest spell to spam.

Purple Rain has been nerfed somewhat, but it's still an excellent tool for stacking statuses like Love Potion's Control and SFP's Celerity.

Moonwalker's Grace boosts your Dex for 3 rounds, which is rather nice now that it's used for Ranged damage.

Invincible Star can shield you from any monster nuke.

Essence of Carnage guest boosts your ranged damage and gives you Backlash.

Pets

At 0 Cha, the only pet you really need is Angra Linnorm, which is pretty much a pet version of EoC.

Scarab gives +20 Bleed Potence, which is nice if you use Superior Claw + Fracture Point strat.

Underwyrmling comes in useful against certain bosses.

Kindred pet works nicely with the shield to regain sp or mp.

Spotter Drake gives status potence.

Miscs

Resist miscs are not really meta anymore - most battles tend to end far too soon for those to make a difference. And they're just plain unnecessary if you plan on End build.

Keep Essence Orb to cover all your sp needs.

Love Potion stacks qc Control. With EO and Purple Rain, you can keep the monster stunned for the entire battle.

SFP is nearly as broken, since it allows you to stack Celerity. You still get only two actions per round, but with EO and PR you can stack the effect until you get two actions per round for the entire battle.

Cracked Ornament gives +10 Status Potence.

Helm of Frostval Past gives a qc accuracy boost for 2 turns.

Grakma Warhorn toggles to give you Berserk - a damage boost at the expense of accuracy. It's the strongest misc boost available when it comes to spells, and the effect pairs nicely with Sizzler 'Splosion's autohit or the Helm's bth boost.

If you have a UR, Prime Chaos Orb is what you want to spend it on. The misc comes with a qc skill that scrambles monster resistances (as well as multiply all damage it takes and deals by *1.1) and that can be incredibly useful when paired with elecomped armor skills like Horo Show. If you don't have a UR, Olympax Medal comes with an Imbue skill linked to your clan. Join Igneus, and you can use the skill with that very same Horo Show to deal fire damage.

Hope the info's useful, and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions!

That's really helpful, thanks!

But I do have some questions.

First, where do I get Fracture Point and Angra Linnorm? I didn't see the locations, and the Quests info subs seem to have fallen starting from 2019.

Second. is Love Potion even usable with 0 CHA? Though I guess it's not as important because of how few monsters use CHA.

Can I get the UltraGuardian armors if I have the Awe!!! upgrade? I know I can't get the scythe, but that might've been fixed in the year I was gone.

Which Paladin armor should I get? The standard one?

Is Werepyre still usable if I use DEX instead of STR?

And how do I use the Spellcaster lean? Brilhado Necromancer Robes are a darkness armor with poor elemental resistances, and it only boosts spells that are the same element as the monsters you'd wear it against. Plus the extra incoming damage from the lean. It doesn't seem very useful.
Unless that's the old lean, in which case, what's the new lean?

Thanks!

Fracture Point is from Mogloween's Sister's Revenge and Angra is from Warlic's The Last Dragonlords.
Champion Holy Armor/Arcanist/Avenger states the differences between the three variants of Paladin class.
Werepyre's Spell-type Elecomp skills use Hybrid stats, but the other weapon-based skills use a weapons' Mainstat.

Old Spellcaster: You take *1.25 damage from monsters and all normal attacks deal *0.8 damage. Spells of the Armor's element gain Offensive Lean Elecomp.
Spellcaster Lean: Monster attacks deal x1.25 damage and armor attacks deal x1 damage. All spells deal x1.375 damage.
