When the heroes are asking which side Remthalas is on, a quick screen crack appears and he says, “there is a third.” Before returning to the original screen of his dialogue.

What could the third one be? Could it be Amalgam? Noticeably the trinket blasters have Doom, Destiny and Amalgam versions, which is why I say this.

Does this really warrant its own thread instead of the war thread as the speculations continue there? On topic though, no one can really be sure due to how obscure the Lorean pantheon and eldritch lores are. There's a reason why we don't meddle in those affairs without caution of the mind shattering degree, and Remthalas pretty much got quite a blow that reached a breaking point here.

I'm fairly certain "Amalgam" simply refers to the "Friendly Contest" war-boss, the Twisted Amalgam, and we use the core of the construct to upgrade the blaster hence the name. The boss is an amalgamation of Mana-powered Exalted technology, which is why it and the blaster deal Fear damage.

Although I still find that line of dialogue really interesting and think could warrant its own discussion imo.

Kathool is probably eluding to overarching, fate-driving forces that exist beyond Doom and Destiny. These could be anything from the Void, or rather the corrupting power it has that twist those that are exposed to it, or deities like Sk'aar, or otherworldly beings like Uthuluc, or creatures like the Unraveler, or even himself. These things don't seemingly belong to any one greater whole, so he simply refers to them being "so much more".

Heck, I could be way off; he could be referring to entities and concepts that are completely beyond our understanding yet whose influence could be just as fundamental as Aequilibria, while being several times as mind-boggling.

That's a scary thought!
