Somehow fell down this rabbithole today after work....I'm 30 years old now, looking back through posts I made when I was just 12 or 13.
That was 18 years ago...people have been born and grown up in that time.
Now we're marching forward into a world of AI, global conflict, tension, and challenges ahead.
I can remember asking my mom if I could charge her debit card $25 to upgrade my account to X guardian. And then again a year later on another character.
I could tear up thinking of the hope and joy that little kid held, and bless my mother for indulging me from time to time--I did keep my grades up, after all.
Her hard earned money, with a mortgage to pay, and mouths to feed, set aside so I could get more cool stuff on my wizard character. The things we do for the people we love.
Now I go over to her house weekly to do the crossword, and worry about her as she's getting older. I'd buy her an x guardian account a hundred times over.

I remember being at the Jersey shore in October 2008, when the AQWorlds beta was just coming out. I was so excited to try it out on the little crappy laptop we had. I think I called myself Wally the Warrior.
I remember watching youtube videos of some really high level guy playing (Z-something) and trying to take the best strategies from him (like making sure to use the nerf kitten pet).
Regarding my history here on the forums, I remember posting on the igneus clan forums (or at least reading them) and spending a lot of time coming up with a bunch of crappy game ideas on Zorbak's Hideout.
Seems like I really liked the moglins.
It seems I was also quite a fan of asking really annoying questions on "Meet the AK" threads (I think ArchKnights are like moderators or something..?)
How strange it is for time to pass with these digital footprints behind us...and how strange to be back writing a post like this again!

Sacchi, it seems I knew you on the forums somehow -- browsing through my DMs it seems there were a couple exchanged between us back in the day.
I hope things go well in the future for everyone here who has crossed paths with me, in this one chance we get at life.
Though, looking at where we are now--where are the flying cars? I feel like we were promised flying cars.
