Moving the pixie armors from the rare ggb shop to the ultra rare shop was a ridiculous decision. Its only purpose is to create an artificial premium barrier for new players or casual players who want to try a ranger build (an already underserved build). As a cash grab, its baffling because the whales like me most likely to buy out new ggbs already got these armors when they first released. If you want to make new ggb armors ultra rare going forward, that's fine, but retroactively bumping the rarity of rare ggb armors makes no sense. It makes even less sense to do this without any forewarning and without improving the item's functionality to justify the price increase. Frankly, the pixie armors aren't good enough as is to justify an ultra rare for anyone who doesn't already have an abundance of ultra rare. Even a cursory glance through this thread and the other AQ communities shows that this decision has burned a lot of good will with the community. There's already been a lot of concern this year about the over abundance of premium releases, and this decision further compounds those concerns. I personally am one of the players who understand the need for premium releases and often defend AQ's premium decisions, but I don't understand and can't defend this decision. It's undefensible. While I was slightly relieved to learn this decision apparently originated from higher in AE than the AQ team (which itself is very strange and a poor reflection on AE to overrule the game team for a bad cash grab), it doesn't change the fact that AE, the AQ team, and the AQ player base have to grapple with its repercussions. I strongly suggest that whoever at AE made this decision reverse it, bring the pixie armors back to rare, and refund anyone who spent an ultra rare on the pixie armors. Whatever short term benefits AQ might gain from this blatant cash grab isn't worth the cost in player good will.
