Most should already be aware of this, but to reiterate... How to handle a troublesome post/thread: 1) Do NOT post. Never respond to it. It's meant for attention; you're just helping that person along by giving him/her the desired attention. 2) Contact an active mod/AK of the relevant forum. If you can't, find an active AK and see if they'll be able to contact a mod/AK who can take care of it. Please use AE Staff and Staff Assistants List to find who the best person to contact is. Note that AKs only have moderating abilities in the forums listed next to their names. You can also find a relevant mod/AK through the forum view. For example, if you found a troublesome thread in General Game Discussion (All Forums >> [Artix Entertainment Games] >> [AdventureQuest] >> General Game Discussion), you would click on [AdventureQuest]. Find where the General Game Discussion (GGD) forum is on this page and look to the right under 'Moderators'. Clicking on ArchKnights GGD will bring up a list of all the AKs who can moderate in GGD. The same can be done for any forum that has assigned AKs. For those that do not, try to contact the head moderator first. 3) Leave the thread alone. This goes back to 1). Never reply. 4) If it hasn't been dealt with in at least 30 minutes, try contacting someone else. Yes, it does seem like a long time, but a mod/AK will often be busy with something else on the forums. If people don't post (I'm well aware that many people don't know how to read and will still post replies. -_-), it'll die down and disappear. If you want, PM the people who reply to the thread and tell them to stop, very politely. As with any time you contact someone about their posts, don't be too suprised if you face some hostility. People who reply to these posts get warned by the moderators, since it is against the rules. Some could also be banned for it, depending on their behavior. Such threads are not for people to spam, "OMG ur gonna get banned" reactions, or people who think that they can somehow spam the thread then delete their post. It doesn't work. You'll get noticed; the post will get restored; or you will get banned accordingly. It is a very serious issue. People are not helping at all by bumping troublesome threads, but they are helping the troublemaker by keeping the thread alive. People who post telling others not to then continue to spam the thread just boggle my mind... complete hypocrisy. All that needs to be done is to report it, and let the thread die. Most often, people who are immature enough to post threads like that are just posting for attention and likely mean to get other people in trouble. Use your brain. Don't let some idiot affect you.
