Same here, I wanna know what it's all about. I think it's something with the Paths tool, and Stroking, but I don't know how to do it.

Cool! i figured it out! Except I can't do it that well...but at least i've got the basic idea =D.

Pentooling is pretty tough, and so therefore isn't used too exclusively in tags (except by me and Rel, but mine suck and he vectors, and Aco, but he's amazing).

Try reading up on some rendering tuts that use the path tool (the real pentool (smooth lines)) and use the stroke path option instead of the "Create Selection" thing...

Oh, and be sure to use each pentool stroke on a new layer (for more freedom)

Doesn't vashigoozes(sp?) also use pentool? Also, do you do that drag anchor thing? Cuz I heard something about that somewhere...I just dunno where =P

Yes, but not exclusively. I'm talking about pentool-only tags.

And the anchors are the dots where you clicked the arrow. Moving an anchor is annoying, so try simply editting it till it looks good.

Ok, but how do you get it that "glowing" effect? Because when I stroke it, it ends up a solid line.

stroke it on another layer, then Gaussian Blur to your discretion. Blend and boom.

I made a bunch of Paths, then just clicked on the lines forming the paths, and dragged them around to create that shape. Then Stroked the Path, then added a new layer with the Gaussian Blur. It took awhile to get them lined up nicely though.

Go to Filters > Blur > Gaussian Blur. I think I set mine at either 10 or 15.

Ok, you have your line right? Open up your layers window, and duplicate that layer. Then do the blur to the duplicated layer, and set it to overlay, or change the opacity or something.
