The bucket tool is not always so useable.
In a background that have many colors and bushes, this could really take too long to do.

Try using the free cut tool in paint (the one next to the striped rectangle) to cut most of the background and then use the paint bucket and brushes.

Dewdrop Fairy -> RE: Karmageddon41's Spritesheet Tutorial (8/14/2007 1:49:43)

I'm not very comfortable using the free cut tool myself, Lightning. At least my version of Paint stubbornly refuses to show me what part of the pic precisely I have selected, but only marks a rectangle around the edges of the selected portion. It's probably not a big deal but apparently it's enough to make me not want to use it. ^_^

And nice, clear tut, Kamageddon. I was actually going to put together a list of Paint tutorials for the time of the next DF screenshot contest, as there usually are a lot of beginners who want to enter, yet literally need to learn how to find MS Paint on their computer first, let alone anything else. [;)]. Do you mind if I put your tut on that list?

Devastation -> RE: Karmageddon41's Spritesheet Tutorial (9/2/2007 18:05:42)

Usually I just use paint and I cut my character out pixel by pixel, takes time but worth it.

Karmageddon41 -> RE: Karmageddon41's Spritesheet Tutorial (9/16/2007 12:04:59)

I can tbelive I got a FAQ tag

LightningIsMyName -> RE: Karmageddon41's Spritesheet Tutorial (9/16/2007 12:17:55)

Oftopic: all the tutorials got an FAQ tag so they won't be erased.

OnTopic: You forgot to add the part where you save your file...

How do you get your character on paint

tauguy -> RE: Karmageddon41's Spritesheet Tutorial (1/13/2008 9:14:13)

Good tut :P

@Ancient: When looking at the shot you want press 'Print Screen' on your keyboard. Normally it is the next button right of F12. Then open paint and click paste.
