Bone_funny -> easy glowing bg tut {[(gimp)]} (1/8/2008 19:32:31)

at the end, you might want to blur it a bit

Text is hard to understand.

Where is motion blur located?

What is 'set it to 184'? Set what to 184?

What is putting on zoom, and how do you do it?

Where is lighting effects? Put what in the center?

How do you enable bump mapping?

These are all questions someone new to gimp (and a few from me xP) someone would ask. But I love the result.

After a few tries I finally found out where "Enable Bump Map" was.

I got this: http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee24/I_am_Omnipotent/lindsey_the_butterfly_princess.png

And that's Mr. Krijnen, my Orchestra Director. My friend and I call him Lindsey the Butterfly Princess for some reason.

1.Filters>blur>motionblur

2. I guess he means the length

3. Zoom is a category in the motion blur menu.

4. Filters>lighting effects>lighting effects. I guess cause its not clear on which but most likely that one. Theres a blue dot on a screen in the menu move it.

5.Filters>map>bump map I guess I dont really use that.

Also Sneevil of evil. Your tutorial is cut on the left leaving out some info. And the text is kind of confusing.

Fartix -> RE: easy glowing bg tut {[(gimp)]} (3/21/2008 23:34:01)

To enable Bump Mapping under "Lighting Effects," you just need to click the tab that says "Bump Map" when you're still in the Lighting Effects Window.
