Wow. I can comment on a LOT of these postings. [:D]
I LOVE my potions to stay at 35 each, and I try not to use them very often if I don't have to use them. I'm not afraid to use them, though, if I screw up somehow and have to. I'm not going to die just because I didn't want to use potions. However, I seldom have to use more than one or two, but I do use them. I don't rely on uber armor to win my battles for me, so they come in handy.
I think heal wounds is a warriors spell, or any type of hybrid. jmho. Most of the time, I got less of a heal than I would have got with one potion, so it was pretty much a wasted spell slot for me that could have been used for something . . . well . . . . useful!
I NEVER had good luck with AoV or ES. Two hits, and if one misses, you might as well have used fireballZ or something. Meteors, for some weird reasons, seem to hit ten times better then AoV ever did, even with the lower BtH. (for me, anyway) I have no idea, but I hated AoV because it was such a cool looking spell, but made me mad ALL the time. Same with evil shadow.
Summoning ANYTHING, is a wasted spell for my character. Especially the brainless eight legged freak.
